バイエルンは2019-20シーズンに7年ぶりのシーズン3冠を達成したが、その偉業を成し遂げる上で重要な役割を担ったのが、ハンジ・フリック体制で完全復活を遂げたミュラーだ。
ブンデスリーガでは史上最多記録となる21アシストを記録したほか、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)では攻守両面で質の高い動きをみせ、準々決勝のバルセロナ戦では大勝に導くドッペルパックの活躍を見せていた。
そういった活躍もあり、ここ数カ月間はミュラーの代表復帰待望論が出ていたが、ヨアヒム・レーブ監督は25日にUEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21に向けたドイツ代表メンバーを発表した際、ミュラーの名前を挙げることはなかった。
さらに、2019年3月以降、構想外としている同選手の復帰に関して、「再考する理由はない」と、クラブチームでの活躍が代表復帰の扉を再び開けることに繋がらないとの見解を示した。
「もちろん、成功したチームでの自分の役割を考えると、ここ数カ月で再び話題に上ることは理解できるよ。だけど、すでに各方面から明確な声明が出ている」

「これはどっちも買う」「素敵すぎ」ドイツ代表のW杯ユニが大好評!ホームは1908年をモチーフに
