マンチェスター・シティのアルジェリア代表FWリヤド・マフレズは、バジャドリーの元フランス代表FWハテム・ベン・アルファの大ファンのようだ。

リヨンの下部組織で育ったベン・アルファは、同期のカリム・ベンゼマとともにリヨンの黄金期の一員に。2004-05シーズンからのリーグ4連覇を経験したが、その後加入したマルセイユやニューカッスルでは厳しいキャリアが続いた。

それでも、2015年夏にフリーで加入したニースでは、リーグ戦34試合で17ゴール6アシストと爆発。その活躍ぶりから翌年パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと大きくステップアップした。

しかし、PSGではそうそうたるビッグプレーヤーとのポジション争いに敗れて構想外となると、1年半にわたって実戦から遠ざかることに。その後、2018年9月からレンヌでプレーした後、1月からは今季終了までの契約でバジャドリーに加入している。

そのドリブルスキルから"天才"ともてはやされたベン・アルファだが、アルジェリアのドリブラーもその虜の一人だったようだ。

親友ジダン氏の副官としてCL3連覇…元マドリーコーチのベットーニ氏がスイスで初監督就任!

スイス・スーパーリーグのFCシオンは6日、ジネディーヌ・ジダン氏の副官として有名なダビド・ベットーニ氏(51)の指揮官就任を発表した。契約期間は今季終了までとのことだ。ベットーニ氏はフランス国籍の元プロサッカー選手。1歳年下のジダン氏とはカンヌの下部組織時代からの友人で、自身はフランスとイタリアの下部リーグでプレーを続け、2004年に古巣カンヌで現役を引退した。引退後の2006年から7年間、カンヌの下部組織でコーチやスカウトなどを務めると、2014年7月にジダン氏のレアル・マドリー・カスティージャ助監督就任にあたって、アシスタントコーチとして入閣。以降、ジダン氏を支える形でファーストチームでも副官を務め、前人未到のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)3連覇を経験した。ジダン氏がマドリー指揮官に再登板した2019〜21年にも副官を務め、2021年1月には新型コロナウイルスの陽性判定を受けたジダン氏の代打として、ラ・リーガの1試合で指揮を執った経験がある。そんなベットーニ氏がついに正指揮官に。元イタリア代表FWマリオ・バロテッリが所属するシオンは今季のリーグ戦で10チーム中9位と低迷。2部との昇降格プレーオフが待ち受ける10位との勝ち点差はなく、つい先日には業を煮やしたサポーターが試合中の観客席でバロテッリのユニフォームを燃やすという暴挙も。ベットーニ氏のミッションはチームを残留に導くこととなる。なお、フランス『RMC Sport』によると、ベットーニ氏はここ数カ月でリーグ・アンの3クラブなどからもオファーが届いていたものの、いずれも交渉がまとまらなかったとされている。 2023.03.07 17:33 Tue
