アルジェリアの魔術師マフレズ「ベン・アルファは強すぎる」

マンチェスター・シティのアルジェリア代表FWリヤド・マフレズは、バジャドリーの元フランス代表FWハテム・ベン・アルファの大ファンのようだ。リヨンの下部組織で育ったベン・アルファは、同期のカリム・ベンゼマとともにリヨンの黄金期の一員に。2004-05シーズンからのリーグ4連覇を経験したが、その後加入したマルセイユやニューカッスルでは厳しいキャリアが続いた。

それでも、2015年夏にフリーで加入したニースでは、リーグ戦34試合で17ゴール6アシストと爆発。その活躍ぶりから翌年パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと大きくステップアップした。

しかし、PSGではそうそうたるビッグプレーヤーとのポジション争いに敗れて構想外となると、1年半にわたって実戦から遠ざかることに。その後、2018年9月からレンヌでプレーした後、1月からは今季終了までの契約でバジャドリーに加入している。

そのドリブルスキルから"天才"ともてはやされたベン・アルファだが、アルジェリアのドリブラーもその虜の一人だったようだ。

「何してるの?」ネイマールも見慣れない“壁下”のメッシに反応

まさかのメキシコ移籍から9年弱、気づけば38歳…元フランス代表FWジニャックが史上3人目の大記録達成!
