マンチェスター・シティのアルジェリア代表FWリヤド・マフレズは、バジャドリーの元フランス代表FWハテム・ベン・アルファの大ファンのようだ。リヨンの下部組織で育ったベン・アルファは、同期のカリム・ベンゼマとともにリヨンの黄金期の一員に。2004-05シーズンからのリーグ4連覇を経験したが、その後加入したマルセイユやニューカッスルでは厳しいキャリアが続いた。

それでも、2015年夏にフリーで加入したニースでは、リーグ戦34試合で17ゴール6アシストと爆発。その活躍ぶりから翌年パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと大きくステップアップした。

しかし、PSGではそうそうたるビッグプレーヤーとのポジション争いに敗れて構想外となると、1年半にわたって実戦から遠ざかることに。その後、2018年9月からレンヌでプレーした後、1月からは今季終了までの契約でバジャドリーに加入している。

そのドリブルスキルから"天才"ともてはやされたベン・アルファだが、アルジェリアのドリブラーもその虜の一人だったようだ。
「僕はベン・アルファを愛しすぎていた。彼は強すぎるよ。僕は彼がクレイジーだと思っていた。僕はル・アーブルにいた時、彼の試合を観た。それはニューカッスルとマンチェスター・ユナイテッドの試合だった。僕は彼のためだけにニューカッスルの試合を観ていた」

「彼はその日ドリブルしかしなかった。彼はボールを失っても、ドリブルし続けていた。ハーフタイムに監督が彼を連れ出した後、僕は自分自身に話しかけた。彼はクレイジーだ。なぜ監督が彼を交代させるのかとね。彼は強すぎる。信じられない資質を持っている」

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

「10点満点の美しさ」「素晴らしいと言わざるを得ない」リークされたフランス代表の新ユニフォームに絶賛の嵐「とてもクラシック」
