かつてアーセナル、マンチェスター・シティ、トッテナム、クリスタル・パレスに籍を置き、長くイングランドでプレーしたアデバヨール。2017年1月のイスタンブール・バシャクシェヒル加入を機にトルコが主戦場となり、昨年8月にカイセリシュポル移籍を果たしたが、同年12月上旬に退団した。
そんなアデバヨールに対して、アストン・ビラが興味を示しているという。そのアストン・ビラは昨夏、移籍金2250万ポンド(現レートで約31億8000万円)で獲得したブラジル人FWウェズレイ(23)が負傷離脱。残りシーズンでの復帰が厳しく、代役としてトーゴ人ストライカーに着眼した模様だ。
そうした背景にファイナンシャルフェアプレー(FFP)遵守があり、昨夏に1億ポンド(約141億4000万円)以上を投じたアストン・ビラはこれ以上の出費を避けたく、移籍金のかからないフリーという状況もアデバヨールに関心を抱く要因とみられる。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
