チェルシーに所属するアメリカ代表MFクリスチャン・プリシッチが代表離脱した。
イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が報じたところによると、プリシッチは9日に行われたプレミアリーグ第12節のクリスタル・パレスで股関節を痛めてしまったという。
そのアメリカは、CONCACAFネーションズリーグ2試合の日程が組まれており、15日にホームでカナダ代表と対戦した後、続く19日にアウェイでキューバ代表と激突する。
エースを失ってしまったアメリカのグレッグ・バーホルター監督はこう述べている。
「クリスチャンはこの時点で正式に離脱した。我々もその情報を聞いたばかりだ。それはクラブ側と協議して決まったこと。選手の利益を最も大事に考慮した結果さ。この決定は我々にとって、いつだって難しいもの。だが、リスクを負いたくなかった」
なお、チェルシーはインターナショナルブレイク明けの初戦、23日に行われるプレミアリーグ第13節でマンチェスター・シティのホームに乗り込む。

第二のプリシッチ現れるか! プリシッチが地元にトレーニング施設を開設 「すべての子供たちに刺激を」

アメリカ女子代表のレジェンド、世界2位の国際試合出場記録を持つロイドが引退を発表…2度のW杯制覇&2つの金メダル
