ブラジル代表として56キャップ16得点を誇るコウチーニョは、2018年1月に移籍金1億6000万ユーロ(現レートで約188億9000万円)でリバプールからバルセロナに移籍。公式戦76試合21得点11アシストの数字を残したが、高額な移籍金額に見合う活躍ができていないとしてサポーターの心を掴めず、今夏の移籍市場で新たな活躍先を求める可能性が指摘され続けている状況だった。
そうしたなか、バイエルンが16日にコウチーニョの加入合意を発表。後に現地入りしたコウチーニョは19日、1億2000万ユーロ(約141億7000万円)の買取オプションが付随したシーズンローンという契約にサインを済ませ、昨シーズン限りで退団、現役を引退した元オランダ代表FWのアリエン・ロッベン氏から背番号「10」の継承も決まった。
ドイツ王者の仲間入りを果たしたコウチーニョは、契約を締結した19日、入団会見に出席。所信表明を行うなかで、長期滞在の意向や、ロッベン氏から背番号を受け継ぐ覚悟を示した。

アーセナル、セスクやマルティネッリ発掘の功労者を解雇…一方、ウィリアン&コウチーニョ獲得に巨額の投資…
近年のアーセナルのスカウト活動を支えてきた功労者がクラブを追われることになったようだ。 アーセナルは5日、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)による減収のため、55人のスタッフを解雇する方針であることを発表した。 そして、イギリス『デイリー・メール』が伝えるところによれば、その解雇者リストの中に敏腕スカウトとして知られるフランシス・カギガオ氏の名前があるという。 ロンドン生まれのカギガオ氏は、アーセナルのユースチームに在籍していた縁、3カ国語を操る語学力などを買われてアーセン・ヴェンゲル時代からスカウト部門に在籍。 20年以上に渡るクラブ在籍期間に多くの選手獲得に尽力。とりわけ、現役時代にバルセロナBに在籍していたツテを生かして、当時カンテラに在籍していた元スペイン代表MFセスク・ファブレガス(現モナコ)、スペイン代表DFエクトル・ベジェリンらの引き抜きを主導したことで知られる。 また、主にヨーロッパ、南米を担当していた同氏は、元スペイン代表MFサンティ・カソルラ(現アル・サッド)といったスペイン人選手、スイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカ、チリ代表FWアレクシス・サンチェス(現インテル)などの獲得交渉も主導。ここ最近ではU-20フランス代表DFウィリアム・サリバ、U-23ブラジル代表FWガブリエル・マルティネッリの交渉に携わっていた。 アーセナルはカギガオ氏を含むヨーロッパ全域を担当するスカウトの解雇に踏み切る以前に、MFエインズリー・メイトランド=ナイルズや、FWレイス・ネルソンらを発掘したイングランド国内を担当する非常勤アカデミースカウト10名をすでに解雇しており、今後に向けては国内外のスカウト活動で大きな後れを取る可能性がある。 長年クラブのために尽力した功労者の大量解雇に踏み切った一方、アーセナルはチェルシーのブラジル代表FWウィリアン、バルセロナのブラジル代表MFフィリペ・コウチーニョの獲得に近づいているとの報道も出ている。 この動きに関しては、元ブラジル代表DFダビド・ルイス(33)の移籍に際して、急接近した大物代理人、キア・ジョーラブシャン氏との関係強化が影響しているようだ。 ウィリアンとコウチーニョはいずれもジョーラブシャン氏の顧客であり、アーセナルは今後、独自のスカウト網の維持を諦め、ジョーラブシャン氏を筆頭に代理人主導の補強戦略へと転換を図る模様だ。 代理人主導の補強戦略に関しては、世界最高の代理人と評されるジョルジュ・メンデス氏とウォルバーハンプトンが好結果を出しているが、近年ごたごたが続くバレンシア(メンデス氏)などを見ると、非常にリスクがある補強戦略ともいえる。 なお、アーセナルのサポーターズ・トラストは今回のクラブの決定に対して、「今回の知らせにがっかりしている。我々はプレーヤーたちの自発的な給与削減がすべてのスタッフの雇用を守るために使用されることを期待していた。また解雇されたスタッフに可能な限り多くのサポートを提供することが非常に重要だと考えている。その点に関してクラブと連絡を取るつもりだ」と、説明を求めている。 2020.08.06 15:00 Thu

スケッチャーズがサッカースパイク界に進出!契約第1号はバイエルン移籍のイングランド代表FWケイン

電撃解任のナーゲルスマン監督、原因は真っ向から不満をぶちまけたマネへの対応か

レ・ブルー初招集となったバイエルンMFマイケル・オリーズが、母国イングランドではなくフランス代表でのプレーを決断した理由を明かした。フランス『レキップ』が伝えている。 ナイジェリア人の父親とアルジェリア系フランス人の母親の元、イングランドのロンドンで生まれ育ったオリーズ。アカデミー年代ではアーセナル、チェルシー、マンチェスター・シティという名門を渡り歩き、レディングでプロキャリアをスタート。その後、2021年夏にクリスタル・パレスへステップアップを遂げると、今夏はビッグクラブの争奪戦の中でバイエルンへ完全移籍した。 バイエルン移籍までイングランド一筋のクラブキャリアを歩んできた左利きの攻撃的MFだが、U-18チームから母親の母国フランスの代表チームでもプレーを選択。先のパリ・オリンピックではU-23フランス代表の一員として銀メダル獲得に貢献した。 そして、今回のインターナショナルマッチウィークではディディエ・デシャン監督から招集がかかり、レ・ブルー初選出となった。 3日、同じくA代表デビューが期待されるローマMFマヌ・コネ、セビージャDFロイク・バデとパリ五輪のチームメイトと共に公式会見に出席したオリーズは、ややたどたどしいフランス語で生まれ故郷のイングランドではなく、フランスでのプレーを決断した背景を説明。 明確な理由について言及は避けたが、「母はフランス出身で、僕は子供の頃にここに来たことがある。フランス代表チームとの繋がりがあったし、フランスでプレーしているんだ」と語った。 また、レ・ブルーのロールモデルに関して問われると、母と同じアルジェリア系フランス人のジネディーヌ・ジダン氏とパリ五輪で指導を受け、現在も連絡を取り合っているティエリ・アンリ氏の2人のレジェンドの名前を挙げた。 今回の会見の様子やフランス語が不得手という部分で、少し内向的な性格も窺わせたオリーズ。 そういったこともあり、会見ではチームメイトであるバデにオリーズの人となりに関する質問が飛ぶと、「とてもいいヤツだよ」という言葉と共に意外な特技が明かされた。 「マイケルはとてもいいヤツだよ。僕らは(パリ五輪の期間に)2カ月間一緒に過ごしていたけど、彼は本当にいいヤツなんだ。彼は人狼ゲーム(カードゲーム)がとても得意で、人を操る人間だね(笑)」 また、現状では右ウイングを主戦場とする可能性が高い中、右サイドバックとしてコンビを組む可能性が高いバルセロナDFジュール・クンデは、ピッチ内外での適応をサポートしたいと語った。 「ここには他の人よりも社交的な人間がたくさんいるし、とても歓迎的なグループだ。彼が馴染みのに問題はないよ」 「彼に時間を与える必要があるけど、僕はまったく心配していないよ。彼はとてもアンバランスなアタッカーで、左足が本当に得意だ。だけど、静かに落ち着かせてほしい。新しい人に時間を与えるのは良いことだからね」 2024.09.04 16:00 Wed
