ウェイン・ルーニー、公然酩酊罪で逮捕

DCユナイテッドの元イングランド代表FWウェイン・ルーニー(33)が逮捕されたことが判明した。イギリス『BBC』など複数メディアが報じた。

ルーニーは昨年12月16日、サウジアラビアの旅を終え、ワシントンのバージニア州にあるダレス国際空港へ。そこで警察に公然酩酊罪により、身柄を確保されたという。

原因はフライト中にアルコールと睡眠薬を一緒に服用したこと。その結果、空港到着時に酩酊状態に陥り、公衆の場で悪態をついたみられる。

なお、裁判の所文書によると、ルーニーは4日に罰金25ドル(約2700円)と91ドル(約9800円)を支払い、釈放された。

ルーニーは過去、エバートンやマンチェスター・ユナイテッドでプレー。イングランド代表歴代最多53得点を誇り、昨年からアメリカに拠点を移した。

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」
