ベッカム氏オーナークラブのスタジアム建設計画が前進!

▽デイビッド・ベッカム氏(43)が共同オーナーを務める、マイアミを本拠地とする新クラブ『インテル・マイアミ』のスタジアム建設が、実現に近付いている。イギリス『BBC』が報じた。

▽ベッカム氏やメジャーリーグ・ベースボールの前マイアミ・マーリンズオーナーのホルヘ・マス氏、『ソフトバンクグループ』創始者の孫正義氏、エンターテイメント界の大物、サイモン・フラー氏などを擁する投資家グループ『マイアミ・ベッカム・ユナイテッド・オーナーシップグループ』は、2020年のMLS新規参入を目指してマイアミ市とのフランチャイズ権の取得、新スタジアム建設地の選定と資金調達の問題をクリアしてきた。

▽また、今年1月末にはMLS総会で通算25番目の新規クラブとして参入することが承認され、9月にはクラブ名を『インテル・マイアミ』とすることを発表。計画は徐々に具体的な段階に突入している。

▽また、今月7日に『BBC』が報じたところでは、新スタジアム建設候補地となっているマイアミでリース交渉権を獲得。住民投票により約60%の票を得ており、現在議会所有のゴルフコースが占めている73ac(約30万㎡=東京ドーム約6.5個分)の土地に、スタジアムを建設する交渉を行うことができる。複合施設として、ショッピングモール、ホテル、公共公園の設置が構想されているようだ。

▽ベッカム氏は、住民投票によるリース権獲得に際し、以下のように感謝している。

「私たちを支えてくれるファンたちに、多大なる感謝を伝えなければならない」

「今日はエキサイティングな日だ。私たちは、この素晴らしい街にチームを作るという夢を追ってきた。子供たちが大志を抱くような財産を、私たちは築きたい」

「クールだね」米女子代表ラピノーがピンクのベリーショートヘアに!「ファビュラスだ」

プレミアリーグが『NBC』と6年3086億円の放映権契約を締結、アメリカでの人気拡大に寄与

プレミアリーグは18日、アメリカの三大ネットワークの1つであるテレビ局『NBCユニバーサル』との契約を発表した。契約期間は新たに6年間、2028年までの契約となり、スペイン語圏をカバーする独占権利を含んでいるという。『NBC』とプレミアリーグは、2013年からアメリカでのプレミアリーグの放映権契約を結んでおり、毎シーズン380試合を放送してきた。イギリス『BBC』によれば20億ポンド(約3086億円)の契約になったとのこと。2015年に契約した7億4000ポンド(約1080億円)の6年契約を大きく上回ることとなった。プレミアリーグのCEO(最高経営責任者)であるリチャード・マスターズ氏は「NBC Sportsは、その素晴らしい報道とプロモーションを通じて、米国でのリーグの人気を大幅に強化してきました」とコメント。「NBCSportsの『プレミアリーグ・モーニングス』という番組は、今やアメリカのサポーターの間では、毎週早起きしてお気に入りのクラブを一緒に応援することを定着させました」とアメリカでのプレミアリーグの人気拡大を果たしてくれていることに感謝している。なお、イギリス国内での放送は今年5月に『スカイ・スポーツ』、『BT Sport』、『アマゾン・プライム・ビデオ』、『BBCスポーツ』と47億ポンド(約7252億円)の放映権契約を今後3年間延長することで合意していた。 2021.11.19 12:33 Fri

吐く息は真っ白、-19℃の過酷環境でW杯予選が開催! 選手たちも寒すぎて防寒対策
