▽トッテナムに所属するイングランド代表FWハリー・ケインが、同国代表の大先輩にメッセージを送っている。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えた。

▽イングランド代表は、15日にウェンブリー・スタジアムでアメリカ代表との国際親善試合を開催。その試合に向けては、2016年11月のスコットランド代表戦を最後に代表を退いていたDCユナイテッドFWウェイン・ルーニーが、復帰を果たした。

▽なお、1試合限りの招集となっており、その試合は事実上の代表引退試合とされている。スリーライオンズの腕章を受け継ぐケインは、偉大な先輩の代表ラストマッチを前に以下のようにコメントした。

「彼(ルーニー)がどんなことをするのか、どれだけ長くプレーするのかはあまり分からない」

「でも、彼に再び会えて素晴らしいよ。数人が少年たちに戻るだろうし、チームの若手プレーヤーたちにとってグレートな経験になる」

「みんなが支援するべきだし、素晴らしい見送り方をしたい」

▽2015年3月にイングランドに初招集されたケインは、通算34試合19ゴールをマーク。代表通算歴代2位の119試合出場を誇り、歴代トップの53得点をマークしたウェイン・ルーニーという高い壁を乗り越えるための旅は、まだ始まったばかりだ。

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】
