ユーロ2024の開催地はドイツに決定、トルコとの一騎打ちを制す

▽欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は27日、2024年のユーロ(欧州選手権)がドイツで行われることを決定した。

▽1カ国での開催が決定していたユーロ2024にはトルコも立候補していたが、スタジアムのクオリティや交通インフラ、政治背景等、12の主要分野を各国理事が評価してドイツが上回ったとのことだ。ドイツにとっては2006年ワールドカップ以来の主要大会開催で、ユーロにおいては1988年大会以来となる。

▽ドイツに敗れたトルコはこれでユーロ2008、2012、2016に続く4度目の招致失敗となった。

▽なお、次回のユーロ2020はヨーロッパの13カ国で開催されることが決まっている。
