▽レアル・マドリーのDFダニエル・カルバハルが、スペイン代表として初の大舞台に立つことができそうだ。スペイン『マルカ』が報じた。

▽2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)では候補にまで入りながらも最終メンバーから外れ、ユーロ2016でも直前のクラブでの負傷により出場が叶わなかったカルバハル。さらに、5月26日のチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)決勝リバプール戦で負傷して涙を流しながらの退場を強いられており、6月14日に開幕を迎えるロシアW杯出場も危ぶまれていた。

▽しかし、今回の『マルカ』の報道によると、カルバハルが負った筋肉系のケガは想像以上に軽症だったという。スペイン代表に合流し急ピッチでの回復に努める同選手に関し、チームの指揮官であるフレン・ロペテギ監督は以下のようにコメントした。
「ダニ(・カルバハル)は確実に改善しているし、全てのデッドラインをクリアしてるよ」

「(開幕を迎える)来週には彼がさらに重要なステップを踏めるようになると確信してるんだ」
「もしポルトガル代表戦の前に数日間のトレーニングをこなせれば、彼については試合がさらに近づいてから決断するよ。でも私たちは楽観的だし感触は良い」

▽『マルカ』は、カルバハルの6月15日に行われるポルトガルとの初戦にカルバハルが出場する確率を50%と推測。また、その試合に出場しなかった場合でも6月20日の第2節イラン代表戦に出場するのは確実だろう、と伝えている。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

「99%の希望を失った」スペインの名医がガビの負傷に言及「劇的な状況になってしまう」、原因は「選手の試合数」
