かつてJリーグでも活躍した元韓国代表DFがリポーターとしてアジアカップ2023に参加している。12日に開幕したアジアカップ。当初は2023年夏に中国で開催される予定だったが、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)の影響もあり、中国が開催権を辞退。カタールで開催されている。
アジアの王者を決める戦いとして各国の注目度もあるアジアカップだが、韓国からはかつてJリーグでも活躍した選手がリポーターとして代表選手たちの姿を伝えているようだ。
韓国でアジアカップを放送している『tvN SPORTS』から現地に派遣されているのは、元韓国代表DFのパク・チュホ氏だ。
パク・チュホ氏は、2008年に水戸ホーリーホックでプロデビュー。その後、鹿島アントラーズ、ジュビロ磐田を経て、2011年夏にバーゼルへと移籍。さらにマインツを経てドルトムントに移籍した後、最後は蔚山現代、水原FCとKリーグのクラブでプレーし、昨シーズン限りで現役を引退していた。
韓国の初戦となったバーレーン代表戦でも、パク・チュホ氏は代表選手たちを取材。現役時代から知るエースのFWソン・フンミンらを、時折笑顔にさせつつ取材していた。

日本と対戦するU-23韓国代表が発表! セルティックやデュッセルドルフの選手も【AFC U23アジアカップ】

赤地に白のホームは「霜降り肉みたい」韓国代表の新ユニフォームはアウェイの方が人気に「アウェイは素晴らしいね」
