ガレス・サウスゲイト監督によると、ボーウェンは継承を負っているとのこと。「十分に検査し、正確な決断を下すのに十分な時間がなかったので、彼をイングランドに残した方が良いと感じた。リスクは冒さない」と説明。北マケドニアに連れて行かないことを決めたという。
サウスゲイト監督はすでに出場権を獲得しているが、チームには高いパフォーマンスを求めるとした。
「その中で、我々が見たいこともいくつか検討するチャンスは常にあったが、最大のことは今年自分たちで設定したパフォーマンスのレベルに確実に到達することだ」

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

イングランド代表のユニフォームが変? ファンが気づいた異変はベテランキットマンのまさかのミス…「間違ってしまった」
