アストン・ビラ、チャンピオンシップMVPのブエンディアを獲得!移籍金はクラブレコードに

アストン・ビラは7日、ノリッジからアルゼンチン代表FWエミリアーノ・ブエンディア(24)を獲得したことを発表した。

ヘタフェの下部組織出身のブエンディアは2018年夏にノリッジに加入。当時チャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)で38試合8ゴール12アシストの活躍で優勝に貢献するも、初のプレミアリーグでは36試合で1ゴール7アシストとくすぶり、チームも1年での降格の憂き目に遭った。

それでも加入3シーズン目の今季、ブエンディアは1年目をはるかに上回る活躍を披露。リーグ戦39試合で15ゴール17アシストの数字を叩き出し、年間最優秀選手にも選ばれた。そして、MVPに導かれたノリッジは2年ぶりリーグ制覇と1年での昇格を果たしていた。

ブエンディアは現在、今月のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選に向けたアルゼンチン代表の招集を受けており、デビューが期待されている。9日に行われるコロンビア代表戦後にメディカルチェックを済ませて、正式契約を結ぶ見込みだ。

イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、移籍金はクラブレコードとなる3300万ポンド(約51億2000万円)とのことだ。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ

アトレティコが万一のシメオネ監督退団に備え後任探しか、ビラのエメリ監督やBチーム率いるトーレス監督も候補に
