マンチェスター・ユナイテッドの新指揮官に、ジネディーヌ・ジダン氏が就任する可能性は低いようだ。

ユナイテッドは24日に本拠地オールド・トラッフォードで行われたプレミアリーグ第9節でリバプールと対戦。前半に4失点を喫する厳しい戦いを強いられると、後半立ち上がりに1点を追加され、そのまま一矢報いることもできず、屈辱の0-5の惨敗を喫した。

プレミアリーグのリバプール戦で歴代ワーストの5点差をつけられて大敗したチームは、これでリーグ戦4試合未勝利(1分け3敗)。さらに、直近の公式戦9試合では5敗を喫しており、以前から度々浮上していたスールシャール監督の解任論が高まっている。
また、後任の有力候補には、昨シーズンにインテルをセリエA優勝に導いたアントニオ・コンテ氏が浮上。それ以外ではフランス代表のディディエ・デシャン監督や、レスター・シティのブレンダン・ロジャーズ監督といった現役指揮官の名前が挙がる中、フリーのジダン氏も候補の一人と噂されていた。

しかし、『ESPN』によれば、ジダン氏は現時点でユナイテッドの新指揮官就任に関心がない様子。かつてレアル・マドリーを率いてチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)3連覇の偉業を成し遂げた名将は、現場復帰を急がず、適切なタイミングを待っていると伝えている。
なお、ユナイテッド首脳陣は30日に行われる次節のトッテナム戦までは、監督交代を行わない模様。この難局で結果を残し、続投となるか。はたまた約3年に及んだ政権に終わりをつげ、新指揮官を迎え入れることとなるのか。レッドデビルズの未来に大きな注目が集まっている。

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。 昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。 アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。 さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。 また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

神々しい局部、C・ロナウド像の下半身が輝きを放つ「全員が爆笑した」
