昨季限りでマンチェスター・ユナイテッドを退団した元スペイン代表MFフアン・マタ(34)だが、ヨーロッパでのプレーを目指してオファーを断ったようだ。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えた。
マタはレアル・マドリーの下部組織で育ち、カスティージャからバレンシアへと移籍。2011年8月に加入したチェルシーではチャンピオンズリーグやヨーロッパリーグ制覇に貢献。2014年1月からはユナイテッドでプレーしていた。
ユナイテッドでは公式戦通算285試合で51ゴール47アシストを記録。貴重なゲームメイカーとして活躍していたが、昨季は公式戦で12試合の出場に終わり、シーズン終了とともに退団していた。
マタに対しては、メジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)のクラブからオファーが届いたものの本人が拒否。その他にも「エキゾチックな国」からオファーが届いたが、全て拒否しているという。
マタの希望はヨーロッパのトップリーグでプレーを続けること。そのため、移籍市場が閉まるまでの間、辛抱強くオファーを待つことを決断しているという。

「マジで来てるのか!」「一目でもいいから会いたい」ダビド・シルバが来日しファン騒然、東京と大阪を楽しむ姿に久保建英も反応「気に入ってもらえるといいな」

伝説のGKカーンが語る意外な後悔「あそこに移籍すれば良かった」

ユナイテッドの逸材MFハンニバルがチュニジア代表を選択! フランス生まれも父の故郷を選ぶ

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす
