ディバラがクリロナとの逸話を明かす「僕は正直に君が嫌いだったと話した」

ユベントスに所属するアルゼンチン代表FWパウロ・ディバラが、チームメイトのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドへの感情を明らかにした。ポルトガル『Esporte Interativo』が伝えている。

アルゼンチンサッカー協会(AFA)がディバラに行ったインタビューの中でロナウドに対する言及を求めた。2018年の夏にロナウドがレアル・マドリーから電撃移籍しチームメイトとなった両選手だが、ポルトガル代表FWについて何も知らなかったというディバラは、それまでの印象との違いに驚いたと話している。

「個人的に彼のことを全く知らなかったから本当に驚いたよ。チームの誰も彼について何も知らなかった。チャンピオンズリーグで僕らが負けた時ぐらいかな、交流があったのは」

「でも話してみると彼は本当にナイスガイなんだ。とても社交的で友好的。ドレッシングルームの中でも外でもね。いつでも話しかけてきてくれて、こっちの話も聞いてくれる。重要な人柄だよ」

だが一方で、ディバラの母国アルゼンチンでは英雄リオネル・メッシに匹敵する人気を誇るロナウドを苦手とする傾向が他よりも強く、ディバラも最初は“嫌い”だったようだ。しかし、その話を素直に打ち明けると、ロナウドからこんな答えが待っていたという。

「ある日、遠征に向かう飛行機の中で僕は彼の隣に座ってこう言ったんだ。『正直に言う。アルゼンチンでは僕たちは君のことが好きではない。性格や生き様、歩き方まで全てがね。それは僕にとっても同じだった。でも君は印象と違った』とね」

「すると彼は笑って言った。『ああ、知ってるよ。僕は周りからどう見られているのかちゃんと分かってる。だから批判にも慣れているよ』ってね」
