本田圭佑も認めた天賦の才能。19歳の長身CB高井幸大は先輩・板倉滉らにどこまで近づけるのか?【新しい景色へ導く期待の選手/vol.47】
「高井(幸大=川崎)はパリ五輪に出て、国際試合の中でも非常に高いポテンシャルとクオリティのあるプレーをしていました。まだ完成された選手ではないですが、これから日本代表の戦力として活動を通して日本代表経験を積んで、成長してもらえたらなと。所属チームの川崎でもさらに存在感を発揮してくれるという期待も込めて招集しました」 8月29日に行われた2026年北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア最終予選の初陣2連戦(9月5日=中国戦、10日=バーレーン戦)に挑む日本代表メンバー発表会見。森保一監督がこのように絶賛し、サプライズ招集に踏み切ったのが、192センチという長身を誇る19歳のDFである。 10代の代表入りというと、内田篤人(解説者)や香川真司(C大阪)、久保建英(レアル・ソシエダ)と、過去を振り返ってもほんの一握りの突出したタレントだけだ。 しかもセンターバック(CB)となると、最近では冨安健洋(アーセナル)くらいしか思い浮かばない。それほど難易度が高い場所に抜擢されたのだから、高井は年齢に関係なく、持てる力の全てを発揮しなければならない。本人も今、強い覚悟を胸に秘めていることだろう。 川崎U-18に所属していた頃から「先輩の板倉滉(ボルシアMG)以上の潜在能力を秘めている」と言われてきた高井。当時から期待値は非常に高かった。だが、高校2年でプロ契約を結んだ2022年はJ1出場ゼロ。AFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)・広州足球倶楽部戦でプロデビューを果たしたものの、苦境を味わったのは確かだ。 しかしながら、2年目の2023年になると、一気に頭角を現し始める。1つのきっかけと言えるのが、5月のU-20W杯(アルゼンチン)ではないか。高井は本職ではない右サイドバック(SB)として3試合に先発。日本はまさかのグループ敗退を強いられたが、背番号19をつけた男はセネガル、コロンビア、イスラエルといった難敵と対峙しても互角以上に渡り合い、「世界で戦える選手」という印象を色濃く残すことに成功したのだ。 その後、川崎では夏場から秋にかけて継続的にリーグ先発出場。まだまだ好不調の波は大きかったが、いい時のスケール感と非凡なセンス、対応力は目を見張るものがあった。 迎えた2024年。ジェジエウや車屋紳太郎らのケガもあり、彼は開幕からスタメンを奪取。4〜5月のAFC・U-23アジアカップ(カタール)ではMVP級の働きを見せつけた。そしてパリ五輪でもスペインを筆頭にワールドクラスのFW陣と臆することなくぶつかり合い、一気にA代表候補に浮上してきたのだ。 そのスペイン戦では、日本代表レジェンド・本田圭佑も「15番、何て選手? 今のヤバない? うますぎ」とSNSにリアルタイムで投稿。天賦の才能を認めた格好だ。 それをメディアに伝えられると、「(投稿は)見ました。嬉しいなと思います」と本人は恥ずかしそうに微笑んだ。「五輪でマッチアップした選手でそこまでビックリした相手はいなかった」とも彼は語っており、世界中が注目する真剣勝負の舞台で本当に大きな自信をつけたのだろう。 その一挙手一投足を森保監督も高く評価。「高井に関しては、いきなり重要な最終予選スタートからのA代表入りは難しいのではないか」という見方もあったが、迷うことなく今回のメンバーに招集。谷口彰悟、板倉ら川崎の先輩たちとともに活動に参加させる決断を下したのである。 「1人の選手としてもっと基準を上げることだったりは徹底しないといけない。A代表のDF陣は素晴らしい選手ばっかりで、簡単ではないですけど、頑張っていきたい」と高井自身もパリ五輪の後、高い領域を見据えてきたが、早速、巡ってきたチャンスをつかまない手はないのだ。 もちろん、今回のCB陣は町田浩樹(サン=ジロワーズ)、中山雄太(町田)含めて全員が海外経験のある面々。牙城を崩すのはかなりハードルが高そうだ。それでも、若い選手というのは小さなきっかけで大化けすることが少なくない。今回からコーチとして帯同することになった長谷部誠(フランクフルトU-21コーチ)、川崎OBである三笘薫(ブライトン)、旗手怜央(セルティック)、田中碧(デュッセルドルフ)らと一緒にプレーすることで、刺激を受けて、目覚ましい変貌を遂げることがないとは言い切れないのだ。 ケガがちの冨安、目下離脱中の伊藤洋輝(バイエルン)が戻ってくれば、代表CB枠は自ずと狭くなる。そこで弾き出されないためにも、千載一遇のチャンスに必死に食らいつくしかない。普段はあまり多くを語らない高井だが、A代表に参戦した際には自分から先輩たちに近づいて質問攻めにするくらいの前向きなマインドを見せてほしいのだ。 人間的にも大きく成長した高井幸大の姿を我々は見られるのか…。ピッチ内外の若武者の動向を注視していきたいものである。 2024.08.30 20:45 Fri

ガブリエウがスポルティング戦で相手エースのゴールセレブレーション拝借…その意図とは?
アーセナルのブラジル代表DFガブリエウ・マガリャンイスのスポルティングCP戦でのゴールセレブレーションが話題を集めている。 アーセナルは26日、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)のリーグフェーズ第5節でスポルティングと対戦し、1-5で快勝した。 ガブリエウは同試合の前半終了間際にMFデクラン・ライスの正確な左CKをドンピシャのヘディングで合わせ、チーム3点目を決めた。 そして、ゴールセレブレーションの際には対戦相手のエースであるスウェーデン代表FWヴィクトル・ギョケレシュのゴールセレブレーションとして知られる、顔の前で両手の指を組むセレブレーションを行った。 ギョケレシュに関してはアーセナルも移籍先の候補に挙がっており、意味深なジェスチャーに対して考察が行われたが、イギリス『メトロ』によれば、今回の行動は2022-23シーズンのヨーロッパリーグ対戦時のチーム同士の因縁が影響したようだ。 当時、ELラウンド16で対戦した両者はPK戦までもつれ込んだ激戦の末にスポルティングがベスト8進出を果たしていた。そして、その対戦時にはポルトガル代表MFペドロ・ゴンサウヴェスが試合後に、スイス代表MFグラニト・ジャカ(現レバークーゼン)のゴールセレブレーションを真似てからかっていたという。 その屈辱を覚えていたガブリエウはその仕返しとしてギョケレシュのゴールセレブレーションを真似て、スポルティング陣営を挑発していたようだ。 なお、その前回対戦時にはスポルティングに在籍していなかったものの、とばっちりを受ける格好となったギョケレシュは試合後にスウェーデン『Viaplay Fotboll』で「ガブリエウのセレブレーション? 自分でセレブレーションを作れないなら、盗んでもいいよ。彼がそんなことをするとは知らなかったけど、彼が自分のセレブレーションを気に入っているのは面白いね」と、皮肉で返している。 2024.11.27 12:30 Wed
