母国フランスをパリ五輪で銀メダルに導いたアンリ監督
フランスサッカー連盟(FFF)は19日、パリ・オリンピックに出場したU-23フランス代表のティエリ・アンリ監督(47)の退任を発表した。契約は2025年6月まで1年間残っていたが、個人的な理由により契約を終了したとのことだ。
現役時代はモナコやユベントス、アーセナル、バルセロナなどでプレーし、フランス代表のエースとしても活躍したアンリ監督。引退後は指導者となり、アーセナルのユースチームで監督を務めたのち、ベルギー代表のアシスタントコーチに就任。その後、モナコ、CFモントリオールで監督を務め、再びベルギー代表のアシスタントコーチとなった。
2023年8月にはU-21フランス代表の監督に就任。自国開催であるパリ・オリンピックに出場するチームを率いると、本大会ではチームを決勝に導くなど手腕を発揮。しかし、U-23スペイン代表に敗れ、銀メダルに終わっていた。
パリ・オリンピック後、フィリップ・ディアロ会長と話し合いを持ち、アンリ監督は退任の希望を伝えたとのこと。それが認められる形となった。

新婚ホヤホヤも元夫の姓を言いかける珍事…CL番組の美人プレゼンターがスタジオのレジェンドたちにイジられる

ベルカンプの名ゴールが紙幣に! 98年W杯のスーパーゴールが描かれた8ユーロ紙幣が誕生

「18+4にしたのは成功」32年ぶり金メダル目指すスペイン指揮官が大会のルール変更に言及、決勝の相手・開催国フランスを称える「素晴らしいチーム」
32年ぶりの金メダルを目指すU-23スペイン代表のサンティ・デニア監督が、U-23フランス代表との決勝戦について意気込んだ。スペイン『アス』が伝えた。 9日、パリ・オリンピックの男子サッカー決勝が開催。開催国のフランスとスペインが対戦する。 2021年の東京オリンピックでは準決勝で日本を下し、決勝に駒を進めるも、ブラジルの前に敗れたスペイン。選手や監督が変わった中でも2大会連続で決勝に進んだ。 グループステージでは、ウズベキスタン、ドミニカ共和国に勝利も、第3戦でエジプト相手に敗戦。2位でグループステージを突破すると、準々決勝ではU-23日本代表と2大会連続で対戦し、0-3で快勝。準決勝では苦戦しながらも、U-23モロッコ代表を下して決勝に駒を進めた。 2大会連続のメダルが確定したスペインだが、金メダルは1992年のバルセロナ・オリンピック以来となる。自国開催のオリンピック以来32年ぶりとなる中、デニア監督は今大会を振り返った。 中2日で行われる厳しいオリンピックの日程だったが、大会前にはレギューレーションが二転三転する事態に。国際オリンピック委員会(IOC)と国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は、紆余曲折あった中で最終的にバックアップメンバー4名を含めた22名から試合ごとに18名をフレキシブルに入れ替えられるようにルールを決め、選手たちへの配慮がなされる形となった。 デニア監督はこのルール変更は、フィジカル的に厳しい大会で大きな成功の1つだとした。 「この大会は非常に特別ではあるが、肉体的にとても厳しいものがあり、予備選手が4人必要になるだろう。準備の主要な部分は体力作りだった」 「幸運なことに、我々は決勝に進出しており、両チームには1日追加で休みがあった。18人+4人にしたことは、IOCとFIFAの成功と言える」 オリンピック前にはドイツでユーロ2024が行われ、スペイン代表が見事に優勝。ヨーロッパNo.1という称号を持った状態で、別チームではあるがオリンピックを戦うことに。MFフェルミン・ロペスやMFアレックス・バエナはユーロから続けて戦っている選手たちだ。 細かくパスを繋ぐポゼッションスタイルで試合を支配することがスペインの代名詞だったが、デニア監督は世界の流行にも乗りつつ、本質は見失っていないとチームのスタイルについて言及した。 「我々はヨーロッパおよび世界レベルのベンチマークでもある。我々はゲームモデルの改善に努めてきた」 「今、サッカーはよりスピーディになり、より多くのトランジションが行われているが、我々は本質を失うことはない。我々は、こうしたタイプの選手たちに満足している」 期待されるのは32年ぶりの金メダル。デニア監督は当時見守っていたとし「キコのゴールを観ることができたのはラッキーだった」と、1992年のバルセロナ五輪決勝でポーランド相手に決勝ゴールを記録したキコの名前を出すことに。そして決勝の相手であるフランスのティエリ・アンリ監督を称え、素晴らしい相手だと称賛した。 「我々の前にはとても良い相手がいる。アンリのこれまでの功績を称えたいと思う。フランスはとても強いチームで、良い選手が揃っている。数字も残しており、決勝に進出した勇敢なチームだ。素晴らしいチームだと思う」 フランスvsスペインの決勝は9日の25時キックオフを迎える。 2024.08.09 15:45 Fri

パリ五輪準優勝のフランスで悲劇…選手1名が規定で唯一銀メダル受け取れず…
