「信頼を失っている」ドイツ代表のレジェンドがチームを批判、日本代表に完敗し崖っぷちに「選手の言葉も信じられない」

ドイツ代表のレジェンドでもあるローター・マテウス氏が、日本代表に完敗を喫したドイツ代表に苦言を呈した。ドイツ『ビルト』が伝えた。

9日、国際親善試合でドイツは日本と対戦。ホームでの試合で、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のリベンジを目論んだ。2大会連続のW杯グループステージ敗退という悲劇を味わったドイツ。しかし、2023年に入ってからチームはさらに低迷。新たなシステムや戦い方にトライをしているとは言いながらも、親善試合5試合で1勝しかできていない現実があった。

日本との試合で、11分に伊東純也のゴールで先制を許すも、19分に完璧な崩しからレロイ・サネのゴールで同点に追いつく。

このまま押し込みたかったなか、22分に上田綺世にゴールを決められビハインドで前半を終えると、後半はボールこそ保持していくものの、ゴールに迫れず。90分に浅野拓磨、92分に田中碧とドイツでプレーする2人に息の根を止められ、4-1で敗戦となった。

ドイツ『RTL』で解説を務めていたマテウス氏は、完敗を受けてドイツ代表に苦言。この試合に限らず、全く良いところを見せられていない代表チームを批判するとともに、問題があると指摘した。

「私はここ数カ月間、ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)の中で何が起きていたかを知っている。ハンジ・フリックを支持する人はもう多くはない」

「ただ、ルディ・フェラー(DFBスポーツ・ディレクター)はそうだった。でも、まだ彼を引き留めることができるだろうか?私はそうは思わない」

「チームからしか聞いたことがない。そう、我々は監督をサポートしなければならないと。でも、何かがおかしい。バイエルンで尊敬を集めて、得てきた信頼を、どこかで失っている」

「何かが起きている。そして、選手たちが口にする言葉も、もう信じることはできない。なぜなら、彼らはハンジ・フリックに何かを返さなければいけないと言っているからだ」

「では、なぜ何カ月も何も返さなかったのか? そう考えると、色々と考えさせられてしまう。あそこでの人間関係は、外部に示されているようなものではないとも思っている」

「それは、この国の雰囲気にも関係するだろう。今後数日間、メディアがどのように報道するかが問題だ。我々はサッカーの国だが、それを見せられていない」

バーレーン戦で感じた日本の現在地/六川亨の日本サッカー見聞録

中国戦の大勝にも日本に慢心はなかった。9月10日、アウェーでバーレーンと対戦した日本はFW上田綺世の2ゴールなどで5-0と大勝。勝点を6に伸ばし、早くもグループリーグCの首位に立った。バーレーンといえば、2004年のアジアカップ準決勝で日本と死闘(4-3)を演じたが、当時の面影はなかった。というよりも日本がアジアでは頭一つ抜け出た存在になったと言った方が正しいかもしれない。2次予選ならともかく、アジア最終予選なのに7-0、5-0はこれまでの常識では考えられない。ただ、三笘薫と伊東純也を欠きながらもシリアやミャンマーを5-0と粉砕したのだから、やはり力の差があるということなのだろう。中国は、元ブラジル国籍選手と中国人選手で力の差があった。逆転負けを喫したサウジアラビア戦でもイージーなミドルパス、ロングパスでミスが散見された。同点にされて焦っていたのかも知れないが、やはり国際舞台での経験不足は否めないだろう。そのサウジアラビアは1勝1分けで2位につけているものの、かつてのオワイランのような個の力で突破してくる選手はいない。もともと日本は、1対2や1対3でも単独ドリブルを仕掛けて来る中東の選手を苦手にしていた。しかし現在の森保ジャパンはバーレーン戦でも明らかなように、攻撃から守備への切り替えが速い。相手の最終ラインや中盤でボールを失ったら、カウンターを仕掛けられる前に奪い返そうとする意識が徹底されている。加えてバーレーンもサウジアラビアもオール国内組のため、日本とは経験値の高さが違う。サウジアラビアの選手は有名外国人選手に押し出され、代表選手でもベンチに座るケースが多いとも聞いた。されに加えてアフリカからの輸入選手もいるものの、そのレベルもダウンしているようだ。ここらあたり、アフリカ勢の有望選手はヨーロッパへ進出しているのかもしれない。そして2試合を終えてノーゴールのオーストラリアも平均的な選手が多く、高さやフィジカルで日本を圧倒するような選手は見当たらない。チームの攻撃スタイルも、パスをつないで攻撃を組み立てようとするものの、意外性に欠け、サイドに展開してからクロスというオーソドックスなものだ。もちろん10月の予選ではサウジアラビアもオーストラリアも日本との試合では戦い方を変えてくるかもしれない。しかし、いずれにせよ力の差は明らかで、日本に不測の事態が起きない限り日本の優位に変わりはないだろう。加えて前回予選の反省を生かし、中国戦とバーレーン戦はコンディション調整のために早めに帰国し、中国戦の翌日にはバーレーンに移動するためチャーター機を用意した。こうした「目に見えにくい」ところでのフォローも日本の底力と言える。まあ、W杯で優勝を狙うなら、アジアは圧倒的な力の差を見せて勝ち抜かないと、という思いもある。できればW杯予選の合間にヨーロッパの強豪とテストマッチを組んで現在地を再確認したいところだが、それは予選が終わってからということになるだろう。文・六川亨 <span class="paragraph-title">【動画】日本代表がバーレーンに5ゴール快勝!</span> <span data-other-div="movie"></span> <script>var video_id ="6XDYL9kuit4";var video_start = 0;</script><div style="text-align:center;"><div id="player"></div></div><script src="https://web.ultra-soccer.jp/js/youtube_autoplay.js"></script> 2024.09.11 12:45 Wed

19歳の至宝ヴィルツが憧れるクラブとは? レバークーゼンは安売り許さず?
