アメリカで13歳の少年がプロデビューを果たした。メジャーリーグ・サッカー(MLS)公式サイトが伝えている。現地時間9日、アメリカ2部のUSLチャンピオンシップでレアル・モナークスvsコロラドスプリングス・スイッチバックスFCの一戦が行われた。
この試合でベンチ入りしたレアル・モナークスのアクセル・ケイは、ゴールレスで迎えた61分、元アメリカ代表FWボビー・ウッド(28)に代わってピッチへ登場。13歳9カ月9日でのリーグ最年少出場記録を打ち立てるとともに、アメリカのチームスポーツにおける史上最年少の選手となった。
なお、MLSにおける最年少出場プレーヤーは元アメリカ代表FWフレディ・アドゥ。2004年にDCユナイテッドのプレーヤーとして14歳168日でピッチに立っている。

豪女子代表主将が米女子代表MFと交際公表! 東京五輪の3位決定戦後には親密な姿
