マンチェスター・ユナイテッドへ電撃的に復帰したポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドだが、その影響力はやはり大きいようだ。

12年ぶりにユナイテッドのユニフォームを着用するC・ロナウド。プレミアリーグからの特例も認められ、ウルグアイ代表FWエディンソン・カバーニから「7」を貰うことが決定している。

ユナイテッド復帰でも沸いたサポーターにとっては、「7」が復活ことでさらにヒートアップ。すると、背番号「7」のユニフォームは圧倒的に売り切れてしまった。

その記録は凄まじいもの。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』によると、ユナイテッドの公式小売パートナーである「Fanatics」では、最初の1時間でクラブのオンラインストアの世界での売上で最高の数字を記録したとのことだ。

また、北米以外の単一のスポーツ商品サイトでの1日の最高の売上を4時間で記録したそうだ。

さらに、移籍した選手として24時間での販売数が最多に。パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと移籍した際のリオネル・メッシやNFLのタンパベイ・バッカニアーズに移籍した際のトム・ブレイディ、NBAのロサンゼルス・レイカーズへと移籍した際のレブロン・ジェームズを上回ったようだ。

現在はインターナショナル・マッチウィーク中だが、C・ロナウドは出場停止となったために早期にポルトガル代表を離脱。マンチェスター・ユナイテッドへと合流したとのことだ。

11日にニューカッスルとの試合を控えており、再デビューも期待されているが、果たしてどうなるだろうか。
