アストン・ビラのジャマイカ代表FWレオン・ベイリー(26)が契約延長に向かっているようだ。
ベイリーは2021年夏にレバークーゼンからビラに加入。初年度こそ負傷もあって思うような出場機会を得られていなかったが、昨シーズンはプレミアリーグで33試合出場4ゴール4アシストの成績を残した。
昨夏には同ポジションにフランス代表FWムサ・ディアビがやってきたこともあり、退団の噂がありながらもビラに残留。迎えた今シーズンは先発機会こそプレミアリーグで10試合と多くはないが、途中出場で重要な働きを見せることが多くここまで公式戦31試合10ゴール9アシストの好成績をマークしている。
イギリス『フットボール・インサイダー』によると、クラブもベイリーのこうした働きを高く評価。現行契約は2025年6月まで残っているが、新契約の締結を望んでいるとのことだ。
新契約では、大幅な昇給が見込まれている模様。すでに大筋で合意に至っているとも報じられており、近日中に正式発表がされる予定だという。

2024バロンドールはロドリが初受賞! ヴィニシウスやベリンガムらマドリー3選手抑えての受賞に

神戸FW宮代大聖がアストン・ビラ行きの可能性と現地報道…公式戦18ゴールと飛躍、戦略的パートナーシップの影響も?
