リバプール退団が報じられるイングランド代表DFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルドに対して、ファンの怒りが爆発しているようだ。

6歳からリバプールの下部組織に所属するアレクサンダー=アーノルドは、2016-17シーズンにファーストチームで出番を得るとその後はチーム不動の右サイドバックに定着。傑出したキック精度を武器として、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)やプレミアリーグ優勝に大きく貢献した。

一方で、アレクサンダー=アーノルドとリバプールの契約は今季までとなっていながら延長に向けた交渉に進展はなし。去就が注目される中で、25日には有力メディアなどから一斉にかねてより獲得に動いていたレアル・マドリー行きが濃厚になったと報じられた。

イギリス『デイリー・メール』はこの報道を受けてのリバプールファンの猛反発を紹介。SNS上では「彼にもう1試合もプレーさせるな。我々がタイトルを獲得した時でさえ、アンフィールドに入れないでくれ」、「彼は全てを勝ち取ったが、フリーでマドリーへ移籍するのは納得できない。反発が起きるのは目に見えていただろう。シーズンの初めにはキャプテンになりたいと言っていたんだ」など、その決断を非難する声が目立つ。

また、「真剣な話として、アルネ・スロットは副キャプテンの座を他の誰かに渡すべきだろう。そしてトレントは残りのシーズン、ベンチに座るべきだと思う」、「今やコナー・ブラッドリーが先発だ。もうリバプールのシャツを着ないと決めたなら、プレーすべきではない。それだけだ」といった声もあり、クラブでキャリアを続ける意思がない人物を副キャプテンとすることに疑問を感じるファンもいるようだ。

「謝罪を無視された」リシャルリソンがチアゴに恨み節
