参加辞退のメイヌー、コンサ、ギブス＝ホワイト

イングランドサッカー協会(FA)は7日、UEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)2024-25に臨むイングランド代表の3選手が不参加となることを発表した。

今回参加しないのは、DFエズリ・コンサ(アストン・ビラ)、MFモーガン・ギブス=ホワイト(ノッティンガム・フォレスト)、MFコビー・メイヌー(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)の3選手となる。

3選手はいずれも週末のクラブでの試合で負傷したとのこと。コンサはユナイテッド戦でハムストリングを痛め、ギブス=ホワイトはチェルシー戦でシュートブロックされた際に負傷。メイヌーはアストン・ビラ戦の終盤に交代していた。

3選手は10月に予定されているギリシャ代表、フィンランド代表戦を辞退することとなった。なお、現時点で追加招集は予定されていないという。

一方で、負傷の可能性があったバイエルンのFWハリー・ケインに関しては、代表チームのメディカルスタッフにより、問題ないことが確認されたため、活動に参加することとなる。

史上最高“究極”のオールラウンダー、フランク・ランパード

「可愛い!」ペガサスに乗って宙を舞うイングランド代表FWサカの衝撃写真が話題沸騰「この男を愛さないわけにはいかない」
