「次のステップに踏み出したい」町田浩樹は今夏のステップアップを諦めず、それでも今は「自分のプレーに集中」

今夏のステップアップを望む町田浩樹

ロイヤル・ユニオン・サン=ジロワーズの日本代表DF町田浩樹(27)が、自身の去就について言及した。ベルギー『La Dernière Heure(DH)』が伝えた。

今シーズンもジュピラー・プロ・リーグで5試合に出場するなど既に8試合プレー。サン=ジロワーズの守備を支えている町田は、25日に27歳の誕生日を迎えた。

その誕生日には、シント=トロイデンとのリーグ戦が行われ、0-0のドロー。ここまで5試合を終え、2勝2分け1敗という結果に。町田はフル出場を果たしている。

町田はシント=トロイデン戦後にコメント。勝利を望んでいたものの、クリーンシートで終えたことはプラスだとした。

「ファイナルサードでのプレーは十分ではありませんでした」

「ただ、僕たちが失点しなかったことは良いニュースですし、今の守備には良い感触があります。バージェスのケガもあり、僕がリーダーでなければなりません」

町田と共に守備を支えるクリスチャン・バージェスがいない中、ディフェンスリーダーとしての役割も務めている町田。ただ、自身の去就についても、ステップアップを望む気持ちを隠すことはなかった。

「本当に簡単ではありません。(ベルギーは)移籍市場が、まだ2週間開いていますし、もちろん考えています」

「今夏、次のステップに踏み出したいことはハッキリしていますが、自分のプレーにも集中しなければいけません。簡単なことではないですが、僕はプロフェッショナルです」

今夏の移籍市場ではブンデスリーガ、プレミアリーグのクラブからも関心を寄せられていた町田。ステップアップを望む部分もあった一方で、ここまでは話が進展していない。

鹿島アントラーズで育った町田は、2022年1月にレンタル移籍でサン=ジロワーズに加入。2023年7月に完全移籍に切り替わると、2023-24シーズンは主力としてチームを支えジュピラー・プロ・リーグではプレーオフを含めて31試合に出場し1ゴール1アシスト。ヨーロッパリーグやヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグも経験すると、クロッキーカップでは決勝でゴールを記録し、110年ぶりのカップ優勝をチームにもたらせる活躍を見せていた。

スウェーデン代表FWニルソンがクラブ・ブルージュ移籍…サン=ジロワーズはアムーラに続き主力FW流出に

クラブ・ブルージュは12日、ユニオン・サン=ジロワーズからスウェーデン代表FWグスタフ・ニルソン(27)を完全移籍で獲得したことを発表した。契約期間は2028年6月30日までの4年となる。母国のファルケンベリでプロキャリアをスタートし、ブレンビーやBKヘッケンなど北欧のクラブを渡り歩いたニルソンは、ドイツのヴェーエン・ヴィースバーデンから2022年夏にサン=ジロワーズへ加入。加入2年目となった昨シーズンは快速アタッカーであるアルジェリア代表FWモハメド・アムーラ(ヴォルフスブルク移籍)との2トップにおいて196cmの長身を活かしたターゲットマンとして存在感を示し、国内リーグでは35試合16ゴールを記録。日本代表DF町田浩樹と共にベルギーカップ制覇も経験した。このクラブでの活躍によってスウェーデン代表復帰も果たした大型ストライカーは、ブレントフォードに移籍したブラジル人FWイゴール・チアゴの後釜としてライバルクラブへ移籍することになった。 2024.07.13 15:05 Sat
