問題の発言をしたのはスペイン『モビスター』に務めるヘルマン・ブルゴス氏。アルゼンチン代表の守護神としても活躍し、マジョルカやアトレティコ・マドリーでプレー。引退後は、ディエゴ・シメオネ監督の下で長らくアシスタントコーチを務めるなどしていた。
そのブルゴス氏は、ヤマルがボールを使ってトリックを披露する映像を見て、問題の発言を残した。
「もしサッカーが上手くいかなくなったら、彼は信号待ちで仕事をするかもしれない」
このコメントは、信号待ちをしているドライバーに対し、金銭を要求する人々を仄めかしているとして批判を受けることに。人種差別であり、階級差別である発言だとされた。
ブルゴス氏は「このような能力が私にもあればよかった」と語り、「誰かを傷つける意図のないコメントだった。我々はフットボールについて話しているだけで、それ以外のことは何も話していない。もし彼が気分を害したとしたら、申し訳なく思い、私は謝罪する」とコメントした。
また「意図したものではなかった。ユーモアが原因でトラブルに巻き込まれることもある。このような時は、全てに適応する必要があり、それが我々が取り組んでいるところだ」と、あまり反省する姿は見せず、ただの冗談だと乗り切ろうとした。
ただ、ブルゴス氏は自身のインスタグラムを更新し、改めて正式に謝罪。『モビスター』はこの発言を非難した。

大ケガから復帰のスペイン代表MFガビがバルセロナと2030年まで契約延長、ペドリに続く
FCバルセロナは31日、スペイン代表MFガビ(20)との契約延長を発表した。新契約は2030年6月30日までとなる。 バルセロナのカンテラ育ちのガビは、2021年7月にファーストチームに昇格。当初はあまり出番がなかったが、スペイン代表を当時指揮していたルイス・エンリケ監督に見出され、スペイン代表で先に活躍を見せていった。 その後チームの中心人物となり、ペドリとともに中盤を支える存在となったが、2023-24シーズンにスペイン代表の活動で重傷。右ヒザ前十字じん帯断裂、外側半月板損傷の重傷となり、長期離脱となった。 今シーズンもシーズン序盤は欠場が続いたが、10月に復帰すると徐々に出場時間を伸ばしていき、ラ・リーガで11試合1アシスト、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)で5試合に出場するなど、復調しつつある状況だ。 バルセロナは30日にペドリとも2030年まで契約を延長しており、中盤を支えるカンテラーノを長期でチームに留まらせることに成功した。 2025.01.31 23:20 Fri

飛んできたのは“豚の頭”、19年前のエル・クラシコを覚えているか?
