スペイン代表のルイス・デ・ラ・フエンテ監督が、レアル・マドリーの元スペイン代表MFブラヒム・ディアスについて語った。スペイン『EFE Sport business』が伝えた。

ミランへの3シーズンにおよぶレンタル移籍で成長を遂げ、今シーズンから復帰したマドリーでその成果を発揮しているブラヒム。スペイン代表としても2021年の国際親善試合で1試合のプレー経験があるが、 以降は常連となれない日々が続き、父の母国モロッコへの鞍替えが確実視されている。

世代別スペイン代表でブラヒムと共に戦ってきたデ・ラ・フエンテ監督は、『EFE Sport business』主催のフォーラムで、このアタッカーの決断に言及。マドリーでのパフォーマンスを受け、今月のスペイン代表招集も検討していたようだが、選手それぞれの選択の自由を強調した。
「私は彼の立場を尊重する。誰もが自由に決定を下すことができる。しかし、選出に関しては3つの原則がある。1つは代表チームでプレーできること、2つ目は選手本人が望んでいること、3つ目は監督が選手を選ぶということだ」

「最も重要なのは要求や義務のない平等な権利だ。私は常にそのスタート地点にいる。スタート地点からでなくとも、常に私は目の前にいるだろう」
また、ブラヒムへの感謝の気持ちも口にしたデ・ラ・フエンテ監督。教え子の今後の活躍に期待を寄せている。

「彼が(モロッコ代表に)招集されるのかどうかを彼とは話していないが、人は自分がしなければならないと思うことをするものだ。ブラヒムは他のどの監督よりも私と一緒にいてくれたし、私は彼に感謝している。そして、その価値は実証されている。彼の幸運を祈っているが、最大限の敬意を持って決断を下す自由が誰にでもある」

ディアスの心は既にシティに無し? マドリーでの背番号「21」を希望か

3選手の連れ戻しをレアルが検討中…レンタル先で活躍のラファ・マリンら

「間違いを犯しました」ゲイ告白騒動のカシージャス、「僕らの話をする時が…」と茶化したプジョールが謝罪

「僕はスペイン人」18歳ハイセンが母国オランダに決別…2月にスペイン国籍取得でU-21代表デビュー
