アメリカ女子代表新監督にエマ・ヘイズ氏の就任内定チェルシー女子の指揮は今季限り

女子サッカー界の名将がアメリカ女子代表新監督に。

アメリカ女子代表の監督にイングランド人指導者のエマ・ヘイズ氏(47)が就任した。

ヘイズ氏は2012年からチェルシーの女子チームを率いて、通算6度のWSL制覇を含む15個のタイトルを獲得。個人としては2021年のFIFA女子最優秀監督賞に輝いたほか、WSL最優秀監督賞も通算6度の受賞歴を誇る。

そんな女子サッカー界の名指導者は今月4日、今季をもってチェルシー女子チームの監督退任を明らかに。新天地としてアメリカ女子代表が大方の予想を占めるなか、14日の同国サッカー連盟を通じて就任が決まった。

来年5月の今季終了後から指揮を執り、7月末に開幕のパリ・オリンピックで金メダル獲得を目指すヘイズ氏は「世界のサッカー史で最も素晴らしいチームを指導する機会を大変光栄に思う」などと語った。

アメリカ女子代表は先のオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)で3連覇を逃し、ヴラトコ・アンドノフスキ前監督が辞任。トゥウィラ・キルゴア氏が暫定的に指揮する状況だった。

浜野まいか在籍のチェルシー、来季新指揮官はリヨンのボンパストル氏に決定

「クールだね」米女子代表ラピノーがピンクのベリーショートヘアに!「ファビュラスだ」

吐く息は真っ白、-19℃の過酷環境でW杯予選が開催! 選手たちも寒すぎて防寒対策

なでしこも要警戒、アメリカ女子代表ボランチが後半ATに強烈弾! 杉田妃和のチームメイト
