アストン・ビラは6日、イングランド代表FWオリー・ワトキンス(27)と長期契約を結んだことを発表した。イギリス『BBC』によれば2028年6月までの契約とのことだ。
2020年夏にブレントフォードからアストン・ビラに加入したストライカーのワトキンスは、これまで公式戦128試合の出場で50ゴール15アシストを記録。
過去3シーズン、プレミアリーグで2桁ゴールを挙げ、チームのエースストライカーとして活躍していた。
今季もここまでプレミアリーグ7試合の出場で4ゴール3アシストを記録し、2022年3月以来となるイングランド代表に復帰していた。

バレンシアがバレネチェアを獲得…今夏ユーベからアストン・ビラに完全移籍
バレンシアは30日、アストン・ビラからアルゼンチン人MFエンソ・バレネチェア(23)を1年間のレンタル移籍で獲得したことを発表した。 母国のニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズの下部組織出身のバレネチェアは、2019年に加入したスイスのシオンでヨーロッパでのキャリアをスタート。その後、2020年1月にユベントスNext Gen(U-23チーム)に加入。セリエCに所属するクラブで主力を担うと、2022年11月に行われたパリ・サンジェルマン戦でユベントスでのファーストチームデビューを飾った。 ダイナミックなセントラルMFは昨シーズンにレンタル先のフロジノーネでセリエA36試合に出場し、今シーズンはユベントスのファーストチームでの活躍も期待されたが、ブラジル代表MFドウグラス・ルイスの獲得オペレーションに際してU-21イングランド代表MFサミュエル・イリング・ジュニア(20)と共にアストン・ビラへ完全移籍していた。 そして、今シーズンはバレンシアの地で研鑽を積むことになった。 2024.08.30 23:31 Fri
