ボローニャ時代に日本代表DF冨安健洋と同僚だったヒッキー。18歳でセリエAに挑戦した両利きサイドバックは昨夏ブレントフォードへ移籍金総額1800万ポンド(約32億7000万円)で加入し、1年目からプレミアリーグ26試合に出場した。
今シーズンの開幕5試合は全て右サイドバックで先発出場。しかし、第5節のニューカッスル戦で左サイドバックを務めるイングランド人DFリコ・ヘンリーがヒザに重傷を負い、今季絶望の可能性も。第6節はヒッキーが左サイドバックに回った。
中心選手のヘンリーを欠いたブレントフォードがヒッキーを手放すわけにはいかないことは想像に難くないが、イギリス『フットボール・インサイダー』によると、アーセナルやリバプール、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、さらにバイエルンまでもが来年1月の獲得に乗り出しているという。

ブレントフォードがキャプテンのデンマーク代表MFノアゴーアと2年の契約延長…指揮官「最も重要な選手の1人」
