2011年のドイツ大会でトロフィーを掲げる岩渕真奈
FW岩渕真奈が女子ワールドカップ(W杯)が開催されるオーストラリアを訪れている。20日に開幕を迎える2023年の女子W杯。第9回大会となる今回は、オーストラリアとニュージーランドの共催となっている。
9大会連続9度目のW杯に臨むなでしこジャパンもすでにメンバーを発表。ケガにも苦しんだ岩渕は落選し、2011年のドイツ大会から4大会連続出場とはならなかった。
その岩渕が4日にインスタグラムを更新。「FIFAから素敵な機会をいただき今オーストラリアへ来ています!!!」とFIFA(国際サッカー連盟)の招待でW杯開催地を訪れていることを明かした。
さらに、「2011年以来初めて優勝トロフィーを手にさせていただきました(キスしてる風です笑)」と笑顔も見せている。
「正直な話をするともう一度選手として掲げたかったですが…この仕事を通じて2011年の優勝はものすごく特別な事だったんだと改めて感じる事ができたと共に、もう一度なでしこジャパンにこのトロフィーを日本へ持って返ってきて欲しいと強く思いました 頑張れ!みんな!頑張れ!なでしこジャパン」

岩渕のエールを受けたなでしこジャパンは、14日にパナマ女子代表とのMS&MDカップ2023を行い、グループステージでは22日にザンビア女子代表、26日にコスタリカ女子代表、31日にスペイン女子代表と対戦する。

「もっと注目されても良いと思う」アーセナルのレジェンドFWが1人の女子選手を救う…手術費支払いを拒否したクラブに変わり自腹でサポート
