レアル・マドリーを率いるイタリア人指揮官、カルロ・アンチェロッティ監督(64)の招へいを目指しているブラジルサッカー連盟(CBF)。ブラジル『グローボ』は、8回もの会談に臨んだ末、マドリーとの契約が切れる2024年6月の就任で大筋合意に到達したと報じている。
しかし、2026年の北中米3カ国共催ワールドカップ(W杯)に向けた南米予選は今年9月からスタートする予定で、当然ながら指揮官が必要。現在はU-20ブラジル代表のラモン・メネゼス監督が兼任という形で暫定的に指揮を執るが、本業に専念させるべく、新たなつなぎ役を立てる方針だという。
ところが、オファーしたブラジル人指導者1名、外国籍指導者1名はいずれも拒否。CBFは秘密裏に実施した交渉の情報をほとんど漏らしておらず、『グローボ』も具体的な名前はわからないという。
はっきりしているのは、CBF、そしてブラジル代表が茨の道を歩んでいくということだ。
ブラジル代表の今後1年間に目を通すと、今年9月、10月、11月にW杯南米予選を計6試合こなし、2024年3月にはヨーロッパ遠征としてマドリーの本拠地、サンティアゴ・ベルナベウでスペイン代表と対戦。また、スペイン代表戦の前後にもう1試合が組まれる予定となっている。

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

ネイマールに第二子誕生!新パートナーが女の子出産、かつての恋人も祝福

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?
