リバプールに所属するなでしこジャパンのMF長野風花が、チームを勝利に導いた。

この冬に活躍の場をアメリカからイングランドに移した長野。新天地ではピッチ凍結のためにキックオフ後10分も経たずに試合中止という、珍しいデビュー戦を経験しつつ(中止なので正確にはカウントされない)、早くも定位置を確保している。

降格圏と5ポイント差の昇格組・8位リバプール(勝ち点11)は、12日に行われたFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)第15節で岩渕真奈を擁する10位トッテナム(勝ち点9)をホームに迎えた。

残留を争うライバル相手との一戦はロゼラ・アヤネに先制点を許して17分にビハインドを負うも、その後長野が2得点を演出。失点の4分後に縦パスでDFエマ・コイヴィストの同点弾を導いた長野は、35分にも絶妙スルーパスで逆転ゴールの契機となった。

左からのクロスをボックス内やや右寄りで収めると、マーカーをつり出しつつ、2枚のDFの間を通して右ポケットへ絶妙なスルーパスを供給。コイヴィストが裏を取って折り返し、ミッシー・ボー・カーンズが流し込んだ。

リバプールはこのまま2-1で逆転勝ち。試合後にはマット・ビアード監督も24歳の日本人MFを絶賛したと、イギリス『リバプール・エコー』も伝えている。

「2点目の風花はエクセレントだったね!エマが右サイドに侵入するよう、ためを作ったんだ。(チームメイトのリーアンヌ・)ローブはこの前、(長野は)リバプール女子が獲得した中で史上最高の選手だと言っていたが、それが彼女(の評価)を意味していると思うね」

長野は2月5日の第13節でもプレーヤー・オブ・ザ・マッチ(POTM)に選出され、称賛を浴びていた。7月ンのオーストラリア&ニュージーランド・女子ワールドカップ(W杯)を目指すなでしこ戦士は、新天地でも周囲の期待に応え、輝きを放っている。

ソックスは「赤」、日本代表のアウェイユニフォームが発表!南野拓実「美しい日本のイメージが表現」

シティがFAWSL最多の80ゴール、アーセナル退団のオランダ女子代表FWミーデマを獲得!

マンチェスター・シティ・ウィメンは5日、アーセナルを退団したオランダ女子代表FWフィフィアネ・ミーデマ(27)の加入を発表した。契約期間は3年間とのことだ。ミーデマは2017年にバイエルンから完全移籍でアーセナルに加入。バイエルンでも同僚だった元なでしこジャパンFW岩渕真奈とアーセナルでもチームメイトとなり、仲の良さも見せていた。ミーデマはアーセナルで公式戦172試合で125ゴール50アシストという脅威的な数字を残し、2018-19シーズンにはFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で優勝。カップ戦では3度の優勝を果たした。 FAWSLでは通算80ゴールを記録し、リーグ史上最多記録時保持者。ゴールデンブーツも2度受賞するなど、アーセナルのエースとしてプレーを続けてきた。しかし、2022年12月にヒザの前十字じん帯を断裂し10カ月離脱。2023年10月に復帰したが、2024年3月に再びヒザの手術を受け、2023-24シーズンはわずか13試合の出場に終わり、7年間過ごしたチームを退団していた。シティにはなでしこジャパンのMF長谷川唯が所属。長谷川のパスからミーデマのゴールも見られるかもしれない。 2024.07.05 22:30 Fri

リバプール新加入の16歳新星がイングランド代表主将に侮辱発言! ピッチ内よりも先に話題に

先月28日にフルアムからリバプールに加入したU-17イングランド代表MFハーヴェイ・エリオット(16)が、ピッチ外で早くも話題を集めているようだ。イギリス『テレグラフ』など複数メディアが伝えた。昨シーズン、プレミアリーグ最年少出場記録を16歳30日に更新したことで話題となったエリオットは、今夏多くのビッグクラブの関心を集めた中でリバプール加入を選択した。その注目の16歳はピッチ内で話題を集める前にピッチ外で話題を集めることになった。事の発端は、同選手がスマートフォン向けのアプリ『Snapchat』で友人に向けて送った短い動画だった。当時、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)決勝のリバプールvsトッテナムを観戦していたと思われるエリオットは、トッテナムのエースでありイングランド代表でキャプテンを務めるFWハリー・ケインが画面に映った際に、「F***ing m**g」という侮辱的な言葉を叫んでいた。そして、最近になってこの動画がSNS上に拡散し、多くの批判に晒されることになった。この炎上状態を受けてエリオットは自身の公式SNSで謝罪を行うはめになった。「インターネット上に拡散している僕の動画に関して不快感を与えたすべての方々に心より謝罪します」「今回の動画に関してはプライベートの環境の中で友人と遊んでいる際に撮られたもので、特定の個人に向けて発したものではありません。しかし、僕の行動はあまりに未熟で無意味なものであったことを深く認識しています」「動画の内容は僕という人間、どのような育ち方をしたのかというものを表したものではないことを強調したいと思います。ただ、今回の一件を本当に申し訳なく思っています」今回の一件はあくまで若気の至りという感じだが、イングランド代表でキャプテンを務めるケインへの侮辱は今後の代表キャリアに少なからず影響を及ぼす可能性もある。また、今夏フルアムから世界的なクラブであるリバプールにステップアップしたことで、選手としての品格も養っていく必要があるのかもしれない。 2019.08.02 16:04 Fri

代表戦で衝突のアルダ・ギュレルとソボスライがSNSで場外戦…出場時間揶揄に対してマドリーMFが痛烈な返し

かつて“神童”と期待された元リバプールのMFウッドバーン、新天地はイングランド4部のサルフォード・シティに決定

かつてリバプールで“神童”と謳われ、その将来が嘱望されていた元ウェールズ代表MFベン・ウッドバーン(24)。23日に、EFLリーグ2(イングランド4部)のサルフォード・シティへの加入が発表された。リバプールのアカデミー育ちであるウッドバーンは、2016年11月に行われたプレミアリーグに17歳と42日で出場してファーストチームデビュー。そのデビュー戦の3日後に行われたEFLカップ準決勝のリーズ戦では、クラブ史上最年少ゴール記録(17歳と45日)を樹立し、クラブやメディア、ファンから大きな期待が寄せられていた。しかし、その後は伸び悩みファーストチームで思うような出場機会を得られず。シェフィールド・ユナイテッド、オックスフォード・ユナイテッド、ブラックプールと国内の下部カテゴリーのクラブや、スコットランドのハーツへの武者修行を繰り返すも結局リバプールではチャンスがなく、2022年夏に退団が発表された。その後は同年夏にチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のプレストンに加入すると、在籍2シーズンで公式戦通算64試合3ゴール3アシストを記録。昨シーズンはリーグ戦21試合に出場したが先発はわずか1試合にとどまり、今夏に契約満了で退団していた。ここまで残念ながら期待されていたようなキャリアは送れていないウッドバーンだが、まだ24歳。2年契約を締結したサルフォード・シティで、再び輝く姿が期待されている。 2024.07.24 18:20 Wed
