アストン・ビラに所属するスイス女子代表FWアリーシャ・レーマンが、チームの準々決勝進出に貢献した。

自身のSNSで多くのフォロワーを抱え、特にインスタグラムでは1150万人のフォロワーを擁する人気インフルエンサーともなっているレーマン。トレーニングの様子やサッカーの投稿はもちろんのこと、ドレスアップした美しい姿やセクシーな水着姿も数多く投稿され、オフの写真が注目を集めがちな中で「プレーについても見て欲しい」と葛藤を口にしていた。

そのレーマンは2月26日に行われた女子FAカップ5回戦、ウェストハム戦に先発出場。なでしこジャパンのDF清水梨紗、MF林穂之香の眼前で先制点の起点となり、スルーパスからレイチェル・デイリーのゴールを導いている。

今季のリーグ戦における直接的な結果は1得点1アシスト。ただ、このシーンのように2つ、3つ前のプレーや献身性は数字では表れにくく、またピックアップもされにくい。出場13試合中11試合で先発起用されていることからも、チームへの貢献度や指揮官からの信頼度がうかがえる。

レーマンはヤングボーイズの女子チームでファーストチームのキャリアをスタートさせ、2017年10月22日に長野Uスタジアムで行われたなでしこジャパンとの試合にて当時18歳でスイス女子代表デビューを果たした。

その後はイングランドのFA 女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)、ウェストハムに加入し、エバートンへのレンタル移籍を経て現在はアストン・ビラに所属。得点ランキングトップタイを走るデイリー効果もあって今季のビラは躍進しているが、その陰ではレーマンの貢献も光っていると言えよう。

なお、67分にお役御免となったレーマンだが、チームはその後追い付かれて勝負の行方はPK戦に。両GKがキッカーを務めるまでに至り、PKスコア7-6でビラが勝利。準々決勝進出を決めている。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
