「欧州の舞台で…」ブレントフォード守護神ラヤがステップアップ願望隠さず

スペイン代表GKダビド・ラヤ(27)がブレントフォードとの契約延長拒否について再び口を開いた。イギリス『90min』が伝えている。

今夏のビッグクラブ移籍が囁かれ続けるラヤ。加入4季目を迎えたブレントフォードで不動の正GKに君臨し、今季のプレミアリーグ全23試合に出場しているが、2024年6月までとなっている契約の延長を拒否していることを公言済みだ。

イギリス『ガーディアン』のインタビューではこの件について再び言及。「去年と今年1月に契約延長を断った」と改めて明言した上で、今夏の残留or退団はブレントフォード次第であると語った。

「目の前の試合に集中したいし、将来についてあまり考えたくない。契約を全うしたいと思っているけど、次の夏に何が起こるかなんてわからない。おそらくクラブは僕を売却したいのだろう」

「その価格はクラブが決めること。他のクラブが僕にお金を払ってくれるなら、僕はそのクラブへ行くことになるだろう。僕1人で決められることではなく、特に何も心配していないよ」

ブレントフォードとの契約を遵守する姿勢を示したラヤ。一方でステップアップ願望も隠していない。

「僕には大きな野望がある。ヨーロッパの舞台でプレーすること、タイトル獲得が目標のクラブで戦うこと、そしてヨーロッパの舞台でタイトルを獲ること。いつか、このような試合に自分が出場できる日が来ると信じてるよ」

ラヤにはマンチェスター・ユナイテッド、トッテナム、チェルシー、アトレティコ・マドリーが関心を寄せているとみられている。

「激アツ」「どっちも可愛い」長谷川唯の“激レア”スペイン代表ユニフォーム姿が話題! イニエスタにも例えられるボンマティの日本代表ユニも話題「なんかエモい」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン
