フランスサッカー連盟(FFF)は7日、フランス代表を指揮するディディエ・デシャン監督(54)が2026年6月まで契約を延長することを発表した。
現役時代にはフランス代表のキャプテンを務め、1998年のフランス・ワールドカップ(W杯)で優勝を果たしていたデシャン監督。引退後、モナコ、ユベントス、マルセイユを指揮し、2012年7月にノエル・ル・グラエ会長にフランス代表監督に任命されていた。
2014年のブラジルW杯では、ベスト8で敗退も、ユーロ2016では決勝までチームを導き準優勝、2018年のロシアW杯では見事に優勝を果たすなど結果を残すと、ユーロ2020ではベスト16で敗退したが、昨年行われたカタールW杯では大会連覇を目指し決勝進出。しかし、アルゼンチン代表の前にPK戦で敗れていた。
決勝で敗れた後、契約満了を迎えることを受け去就について問われると「会長と会う予定だ。彼と相談する」とコメント。明言をせずにいたものの、ユーロ2024までの続投が噂されていた。
しかし、結果としては2026年6月までの契約となり、次のW杯まで率いることに。コーチングスタッフも続投となり、再び頂点を目指すこととなった。

相手が恐れる右手…ストライカーの完成形と呼ばれた男、アラン・シアラー

フランス代表のラマダン期間中の断食禁止の新規則が波紋…U-19選手が招集辞退
フランスサッカー連盟(FFF)が新たに設定した、代表活動中のラマダン期間の断食を禁じる規則が波紋を呼んでいる。『ESPN』が報じている。 FFFのフィリップ・ディアロ会長は21日、フランス『Le Figaro』のインタビューで、フランス代表のムスリム選手たちのラマダン断食に関する新たな規則を制定したことを明かした。その中で「中立の原則」が組織の設立規定に書かれていると主張し、 この措置は「宗教がアスリートに干渉しないことを保証する」ものであるとした。 新しいFFF規則では、フランス代表チームに招集された選手はラマダン期間中は断食できないと規定されており、代わりにムスリム選手たちはチームの組織と運営の通常のリズムに従うことが求められている。 3月10日から11日にかけて始まり、4月10日頃に終わると見込まれているラマダン期間中のムスリム選手たちは、同国のクレールフォンテーヌの練習拠点にいる間断食することができず、ラマダン期間の終わりに断食日を埋め合わせなければならない。 そして、U-16代表のリオネル・ルクセル監督からA代表のディディエ・デシャン監督まで、各世代のフランス代表チームの監督は全員、今回の代表活動開始時に選手たちにその旨を伝えたという。 ただ、ESPNの取材に対して、各年代の選手たちの代理人は「一部のプレーヤーはこの決定に満足していない」と回答。さらに「彼らは自分たちの宗教が尊重されておらず、自分たちも尊重されていないと信じている」と、今回の新規定がムスリム選手の反発を呼んでいると語っている。 なお、U-19フランス代表に招集されていたリヨンのMFマハマドゥ・ディアワラは、今回の新規定に納得がいかず、代表辞退を決断。FFFはその経緯について言及はしていないが、ディアワラの所属クラブ帰還と共にナントのMFデマン・アスマニの追加招集を発表している。 2024.03.22 08:30 Fri

皇帝の逝去から一年。スーパーカップの冠名に決定/六川亨の日本サッカー見聞録
早いもので、西ドイツが生んだ偉大なフットボーラーであるフランツ・ベッケンバウアー氏が亡くなってから一年が経とうとしている(24年1月8日に逝去。78歳)。現役時代は「皇帝」のニックネームで尊敬を集め、守備だけでなく攻撃にも自由に参加する「リベロ」という概念を確立した。 W杯は66年イングランド大会で準優勝、70年メキシコ大会は3位、そして自国開催となった74年西ドイツ大会では母国に2度目となるトロフィーをもたらした。監督(肩書きはチームシェフ)として86年メキシコ大会こそディエゴ・マラドーナ率いるアルゼンチンに敗れて準優勝に甘んじたが、90年イタリア大会ではアルゼンチンに雪辱を果たし、選手と監督でW杯を制した2人目という偉業を達成した。 同じく選手と監督でW杯に優勝したブラジルの名将マリオ・ザガロ氏も24年1月5日にこの世を去り(享年92歳)、選手・監督でW杯に優勝したのはディディエ・デシャン1人になった。 さらに昨年10月6日には、西ドイツW杯決勝でベッケンバウアー氏と好勝負を演じたオランダのヨハン・ニースケン氏も逝去した(73歳)。西ドイツとの決勝戦での先制点、ゴール中央に強シュートを突き刺した衝撃は今でも忘れられない。彼のシュートは、それまで左右のスミを狙うのが常識だったPKに、新たな発想をもたらしたのではなだろうか(パネンカのチップキックによるPKも伝説だ)。 すでに2016年3月24日には、もう一人の“ヨハン”であるクライフ氏も亡くなっている。「トータルフットボール」の具現者として世界に衝撃を与えただけでなく、指導者としてバルセロナでは超攻撃的なスタイルを確立。現在のバルサの礎を築いたと言っても過言ではないだろう。彼の出現で背番号「14」は特別な番号になったはずだ。 そんなレジェンドの1人である「皇帝」の功績を称え、昨年12月20日、ドイツサッカーリーグ機構(DFL)は25～26シーズンからDFLスーパーカップの名称にフランツ・ベッケンバウアー氏の名前を冠することを発表した。 すでにバイエルン・ミュンヘンはベッケンバウアー氏の現役時代の背番号「5」を永久欠番にすると発表していた。それに続き、シーズン開幕前にブンデスリーガ優勝クラブとDFBポカール優勝クラブが激突する大会の名称が「フランツ・ベッケンバウアー・スーパーカップ」に変更されることになった。 かつてW杯のトロフィーは、ブラジルが70年メキシコ大会で3度目の優勝を果たし、永久保持するまでは、W杯の提唱者であるフランス人の「ジュール・リメ杯」と呼ばれていた(74年以降は特別な名称はない)。同じくEUROのトロフィーも提唱者であるフランス人の名前をとって「アンリ・ドロネー杯」と呼ばれていた。 しかし公式戦の名前に選手個人の名前が冠されるのは今回が初めてではないだろうか。近年の大会名にはネーミングライツ権を売ることで、企業の名前が冠されることが一般的になりつつある。そんななかで、今回のDFLの英断に拍手を送ると同時に、今年8月16日の大会では古巣バイエルンの復活にも期待したい。 文・六川亨 2025.01.04 11:00 Sat

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

マテラッツィ、ジダンとの“頭突き事件”を引き起こした侮辱発言の真相を明かす
