ウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレスがカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)優勝を決めた親友を称賛した。

18日、カタールワールドカップ(W杯)の決勝、アルゼンチン代表vsフランス代表が行われ、PK戦に末にアルゼンチンが勝利。36年ぶり3回目の優勝を果たした。

アルゼンチンはリオネル・メッシのPKとアンヘル・ディ・マリアのゴールにより、2点のリードで前半を終えた。だが、フランスも後半にキリアン・ムバッペがPKを含む2得点を決めて追いつき、延長戦へ突入。延長戦ではメッシとムバッペ、両チームのエースがそれぞれゴールを奪い、3-3でPK戦までもつれ込んだ。

PK戦では先攻のフランスが2人失敗したのに対し、アルゼンチンは4人全員が成功。アルビセレステが見事に戴冠を成した。これで1978年の母国大会、1986年のメキシコ大会に続いて3度目のW杯優勝に。

同試合後、バルセロナ時代の元同僚で親友のスアレスは、自身のツイッターを通じてメッシの偉業を称えた。

なお、現在フリーで去就が注目されているスアレスには、MLS(メジャーリーグ・サッカー)のほかにメキシコのCDクルス・アズールが獲得に動いているという。

衝撃のトラップ! 24年前のW杯準々決勝、アルゼンチンを土壇場で撃墜したオランダ代表FWベルカンプのスーパーゴールが再脚光
