マンチェスター・ユナイテッドはユベントスのアメリカ代表MFウェストン・マッケニー(23)に関心を示さなかったようだ。イギリス『テレグラフ』が伝えている。

昨季のプレミアリーグを6位と不本意な成績で終えたユナイテッドは、新たにエリク・テン・ハグ監督を迎えチームの刷新に着手。ここまでDFタイレル・マラシアやDFリサンドロ・マルティネス、MFクリスティアン・エリクセンを獲得しているが、トップターゲットとして早くから交渉を重ねてきたバルセロナのオランダ代表MFフレンキー・デ・ヨング獲得は暗礁に乗り上げるなど、思うような強化は果たせていない。

プレミアリーグ開幕から2連敗と、早くも危機に立たされるチームは中盤の補強を模索し続けており、ユベントスのフランス代表MFアドリアン・ラビオ(27)獲得に向けて移籍金1700万ユーロ(約23億2000万円)でクラブ間合意に至っていた。しかし、選手側が高額な年俸を要求したことで交渉はストップしており、現在は他の選択肢を検討している。
『テレグラフ』によると、ユベントスはラビオの代わりにマッケニーを提案したものの、ユナイテッド側は関心を示さなかったとのことだ。現在クラブはレアル・マドリーのブラジル代表MFカゼミロに熱心であり、マッケニー獲得はプランにないと伝えられている。

マッケニーは2021年1月にユベントスへ加入すると、昨季は負傷がありながらも公式戦29試合に出場して4ゴールを記録。チームでは主力の1人としてプレーしているが、クラブはパリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)からアルゼンチン代表MFレアンドロ・パレデス獲得に動いており、中盤の枠を空ける必要に迫られている。

「ハリーポッターの大ファン」ユーベの米代表MFが一風変わったセレブレーションの真相語る

日本代表戦に臨むアメリカ代表のメンバー確定! 背番号も明らかに

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

香川真司がユナイテッド退団の転機を明らかに 「ディ・マリアとファルカオがやって来て…」

「ボートで来たのか?」C・ロナウドとブルーノの握手拒否騒動の裏側をチームメイトが明かす「彼らの間での冗談」

「マジで刺さる」「最高にクール」ユナイテッドがザ・ストーン・ローゼズとのコレクションを発表!「良すぎる」「全部買う」
