今シーズン前半はローマからチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のシェフィールド・ユナイテッドにレンタル移籍していたオルセン。1月に契約を解消し、アストン・ビラにレンタルで加入した。

アストン・ビラでは、アルゼンチン代表GKエミリアーノ・マルティネスの控えとしてベンチ入りを続けていたオルセンだったが、22日に行われたプレミアリーグ最終節のマンチェスター・シティ戦で移籍後初の先発出場というチャンスを得た。

試合はアストン・ビラが2点を先行し王者を追い詰めるも、76分からの5分間でシティが一挙に3ゴール。劇的な逆転劇でプレミアリーグ優勝を決めていた。

試合直後には歓喜に沸くサポーターたちがエティハド・スタジアムのピッチになだれ込む事態となるが、そこで事件が発生。オルセンが警備員に付き添われながらピッチを出ようとするも、興奮状態の一部のシティサポーターが走り際にオルセンの頭部を殴打。さらに後ろから突き飛ばすなど、複数名が暴行を加えた。

この事件の被害者となったオルセンは、自身のインスタグラムで思いを綴った。

「僕を攻撃したバカどもが今日の試合の感動を壊すことはないだろう。この素晴らしいクラブでデビューする機会を得た。そして僕たちは対戦相手に対して良い結果を得るのにあと少しだった」

なお、この件についてシティも把握しており、試合後に声明を発表。謝罪をするとともに、調査を進めることを明らかにしており、特定された場合、犯人は永久追放となるとしていた。

「寄せすぎ」「コピーだ」アストン・ビラの新エンブレムがチェルシーに酷似?実は過去のデザインを踏襲したもの

バレンシアがバレネチェアを獲得…今夏ユーベからアストン・ビラに完全移籍

バレンシアは30日、アストン・ビラからアルゼンチン人MFエンソ・バレネチェア(23)を1年間のレンタル移籍で獲得したことを発表した。母国のニューウェルズ・オールドボーイズの下部組織出身のバレネチェアは、2019年に加入したスイスのシオンでヨーロッパでのキャリアをスタート。その後、2020年1月にユベントスNext Gen(U-23チーム)に加入。セリエCに所属するクラブで主力を担うと、2022年11月に行われたパリ・サンジェルマン戦でユベントスでのファーストチームデビューを飾った。ダイナミックなセントラルMFは昨シーズンにレンタル先のフロジノーネでセリエA36試合に出場し、今シーズンはユベントスのファーストチームでの活躍も期待されたが、ブラジル代表MFドウグラス・ルイスの獲得オペレーションに際してU-21イングランド代表MFサミュエル・イリング・ジュニア(20)と共にアストン・ビラへ完全移籍していた。そして、今シーズンはバレンシアの地で研鑽を積むことになった。 2024.08.30 23:31 Fri
