ハーランド獲得のシティをクロップが称える「残念だが良い契約」

リバプールのユルゲン・クロップ監督が、ノルウェー代表FWアーリング・ハーランドのライバルチーム加入についてコメントしている。

マンチェスター・シティは10日、ハーランドの移籍に関して所属先のドルトムントとクラブ間合意に至ったことを明らかにした。個人間合意は残っているものの、事実上の加入発表となった。

ザルツブルク時代からその得点力を見せつけてきた同選手は、多くのビッグクラブが目を光らせる存在だった。移籍の噂が二転三転する中で、資金力で勝るシティが争奪戦を制することになった。

現状で世界トップクラスの戦力や戦術を誇るシティにとって、鬼に金棒のような補強だが、そのシティとプレミアリーグで熾烈な戦いを繰り広げるリバプールの指揮官は、ライバルの特徴を捉えた上で、良い契約だと称えた。

「シティはこれまでも、そしてこれからも、一人の選手だけの力で試合に勝つようなチームではない。彼らは独特なプレースタイルを持っており、アーリングはゴール前で足を伸ばすだけでゴールができるようになるだろう」
