チッチ監督退任予定のブラジル代表、ベティスのペジェグリーニ監督引き抜きを画策か

ブラジルサッカー協会(CBF)が、ベティスのマヌエル・ペジェグリーニ監督(68)の招へいを検討しているようだ。

現在ブラジル代表は“チッチ”ことアデノール・レオナルド・バッチ監督が率いているが、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)を以って退任することが確実となっている。2月に行われたブラジル『Sportv』のインタビューで「私は嘘をつくつもりはない。ワールドカップが終わるまでは残るつもりだ」と、去就を明らかにした。

後任候補にはマンチェスター・シティジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督の名前も挙がっているが、スペイン『Directo Gol』のペドロ・モラタ記者は、金銭面など諸々の条件におけるより現実的な候補として、ペジェグリーニ監督の引き抜きを画策していると主張している。
チリ人指揮官の同監督は、1988年から10年ほど母国のクラブで腕を磨いた後、サン・ロレンソやリーベル・プレートを挟んで2004年にビジャレアルの監督に就任し欧州上陸。ビジャレアルではラ・リーガ2位やチャンピオンズリーグでベスト4進出の実績を残し、一躍評価を高めた。

その後はレアル・マドリーやマラガ、マンチェスター・シティで監督を歴任し、シティではプレミアリーグ優勝を成し遂げた。2016年夏から2年間は中国の河北を指揮。2018年夏に就任したウェストハムでは成績が上がらず1年半でクビとなったが、2020年夏から指揮をとるベティスでは、2020-21シーズンにリーグ6位に導き、3シーズンぶりにヨーロッパリーグ出場権を獲得して見せた。
そして、今季はヨーロッパリーグではベスト16止まりとなったが、ラ・リーガでは現在5位。17年ぶりのチャンピオンズリーグ出場も狙える位置にいる。

そんなペジェグリーニ監督とベティスは2025年6月まで契約を結んでいるが、伝えられるところによると、500万ユーロ(約6億9500万円)の契約解除金が設定されているようだ。

「なぜ、もっと一生懸命戦わなかったのか」、ベティスで躍動するイスコがマドリー最終年の姿勢を自己批判

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

ブラジル代表FWリシャルリソンがアニメキャラ4体の“タトゥー”!孫悟空の下にはディズニーの人気キャラ

「ロッカールームには…」ミラン退団から10年、33歳パトが当時を懐かしむ… モンツァ行きも示唆?
