2019年夏にアトレチコ・ミネイロから加入したロディ。すぐに左サイドバックのレギュラーとなったが、昨シーズンはチームが3バックも採用し始めたことで出場機会が減少。今シーズンもリーグ戦では902分のみの出場にとどまっており、昨季同様に準レギュラーという立ち位置だ。
一方、ユベントスでは31歳となった同胞のDFアレックス・サンドロの後釜を探している。契約は2023年までとなっているが、今夏の売却を計画しているようで、その利益をロディ獲得に充てる算段のようだ。
ただ、ロディの契約は2025年まで残っており、ここ最近は先発出場の機会が増えてきている。そのため、アレックス・サンドロの売却のみでは、ロディ獲得のための移籍金を全て賄うことはできないと予想されている。
