リーベル・プレートのアカデミーで育ったストライカーで、2018年にトップチームデビューを遂げたアルバレス。身長170cmのサイズながら、得点感覚は目を引くものがあり、同国のレジェンドであるセルヒオ・アグエロ氏を彷彿とさせる。
そんなアルゼンチンの注目株に欧州のビッグクラブから挙って視線が注がれるなか、先日あたりからスペイン代表FWフェラン・トーレスもいなくなり、将来も見据えて前線の補強が急務だったシティの争奪戦勝利が取り沙汰され始めている。
移籍市場に精通するファブリツィオ・ロマーノ氏によると、リーベル・プレートのホルヘ・ブリト会長も「マンチェスター・シティとフリアンの売却で完全に合意した」とアルバレスのシティ移籍を認めたという。
その一方で、「7月7日まではリバープレートにレンタルで残る」とも述べたようで、シティ加入は来季からになる模様だ。

「僕世代のアイドル」アルバレスがメッシへの忠誠心語る「W杯優勝を手伝えて、この上ない誇り」

マンチェスター・シティのポルトガル代表DFジョアン・カンセロが、母親の自動車事故による逝去をきっかけにフットボーラーを辞める考えを持っていたことを明かした。クラブ公式サイトがポルトガル代表DFのインタビューを伝えている。 これまでベンフィカやバレンシア、インテル、ユベントスと世界屈指の名門クラブを渡り歩き、現在はジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督率いるシティで世界屈指の攻撃的サイドバックとしての地位を確立しているカンセロ。 一見すると、順風満帆のキャリアのように映るが、ベンフィカのユースチームに在籍していた10代後半には一時フットボーラーとしての夢を諦めようとした時期があったという。 2013年1月にカンセロの母親であるフィロメーナさんは、カンセロと弟のペドロを乗せて夫であるジョセフ氏をリスボンの空港に送り届けた後、セイシャルの高速道路A2を走行中に追突事故に巻き込まれた。 車内で眠っていたカンセロとペドロは奇跡的に軽傷で済んだものの、フィロメーナさんは、この事故が原因で帰らぬ人となった。 当時、18歳でベンフィカのBチームでプレーしていたカンセロを含め、家族は愛する母親の急逝に大きな喪失感を抱き、トレーニングやゲームに全く身が入らなかった同選手は、フットボーラーを辞める覚悟も持っていたという。 しかし、最終的には家族と共にフットボールを心から愛していたフィロメーナさんが、自身のプレーを心から応援していたことに気が付き再びフットボールに全力を注ぐことを決断した。 「母を失ったとき、自分がまるで井戸の底にいるような気がした」 「当時はトレーニングをし、家に帰り、また次の日を迎えるロボットのようなものだと感じていたよ。母を失ったとき、僕はフットボールを楽しめなくなった」 「当時は単にそれをやらなければいけないという義務感だけでやっていたんだ。もうそれに意味がなくなったし、諦めようと思ったんだ」 「でも、ベンフィカのスタッフは常に電話をかけてきて、僕の可能性を信じて、戻ってきてほしいと頼んできたんだ」 「父も様々な物事を片付けた後に僕に話しかけてきた。 父は自分と兄弟の両方が自分を(経済的に)必要としていること、彼はもう(仕事先の)スイスに戻ることはできず、僕にフットボールを続けてほしいと話してきた」 「その頃、僕はすでにベンフィカとプロ契約を結んでいて、その給与の多くは家族を養うために使われていたし、再びプレーすることを決意したんだ。最初は簡単じゃなかったけど、父との会話や、このスポーツに対する愛情が、すべてを乗り越えさせてくれたんだ」 「そして、だんだんとまた好きになっていき、笑顔も戻ってきた。それが人生というものなんだ。どんなに大きな喪失があったとしても、それを乗り越えていくしかない」 「母と話ができればいいのにっていつも考えているんだ。何か重要なことを成し遂げる度に、いつもその気持ちがあるんだ。母が物理的にそこにいないことで、僕の心はいつもある意味で空虚だ」 「ポルトガルでは、いつも母に会いにお墓へ行くんだ。それは義務みたいなものだね。そして、母の隣にいると落ち着くんだ。そこにいなくても、僕の気分は安らぐ。魂や悪いエネルギーが浄化され、より幸せに生きることができるんだ」 「そもそも僕がフットボールを好きになったのは、母の影響が大きかった。母とは素晴らしい時間を過ごすことができた。ここマンチェスターのスタジアムでプレーするときも、代表チームでプレーするときも、しばしば母に見守られているような気がするんだ。子供のころは試合が始まる前いつもスタンドに視線を送っていたけど、今はもうそこに母はいないけどね」 亡き母への溢れる思いを語ったカンセロは、現在もゴールセレブレーションの際にはいつでも天国にいる母へそのゴールを捧げている。その一方で、2019年12月にパートナーのダニエラさんとの間に設けた娘のアリシアちゃんという新たな家族の存在は、また異なる感情をもたらしているという。 「母への愛を超えるものはないだろうと思っていたけど、娘が生まれとき、言葉に表せない愛を感じたんだ。仕事で激しく疲れた一日の後に、家に帰ると娘からハグとキスをもらえるのが最高なんだ」 「この世の中には“プライスレス”なものもあるんだ。どんなにお金を稼いでも、どんなに生活の質がよくても、人生で一番良いことは、子どもたちがもたらしてくれる小さな瞬間なんだ」 「僕はただ、彼女の健康な姿をいつでも見ていたいんだ。だから、娘が将来、平和に暮らせるように、今日も頑張っているよ。僕や両親が経験したような辛い思いを、彼女にはさせたくはないんだ」 愛する母親の思いを受け取り、フットボーラーとして大きな成功を掴んだ27歳DFは、今は愛娘の幸せのために世界最高峰の舞台での日々の激しい戦いに臨んでいるようだ。 2022.04.13 22:53 Wed

「これは永久保存」世界レベルのDFルベン・ディアスが筋トレメニューを公開「めちゃくちゃ勉強になる」「トレーニングはベーシック」

富士山に桜も!?ハーランドがアジアツアーに向けてイラスト公開、すでに日本に向かう飛行機に搭乗
