かつてリバプールでプレーした元オランダ代表FWのディルク・カイト氏が古巣のエースであるエジプト代表FWモハメド・サラーを絶賛した。クラブ公式サイトが伝えている。

サラーは2017年7月にリバプールへ加入すると、公式戦通算219試合の出場で141ゴール53アシストを記録。2度のプレミアリーグ得点王に輝き、チームのプレミアリーグ、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)、FIFAクラブ・ワールドカップ(CWC)などのタイトル獲得に多大な貢献を果たした。

今シーズンも開幕から絶好調を維持するサラーは、公式戦16試合で16ゴール6アシストをマークしており、現在プレミアリーグでは得点ランキングトップに立っている。

こうした目覚ましい活躍を続けるサラーに対して、現役時代はここぞという場面で決定的な仕事を果たしていたカイト氏も絶賛。現在も成長を続けているとし、プレーを見るのが楽しみな選手だと述べた。
