ヴェネツィアが昨シーズン限りでマンチェスター・ユナイテッドを退団した元アルゼンチン代表GKセルヒオ・ロメロ(34)の獲得に迫っているようだ。イタリア『ガゼッタ・デッロ・スポルト』が報じている。

昨季限りでユナイテッドとの契約が満了となり、フリーの状況が続くロメロ。一時はグラナダや母国アルゼンチン行きの可能性が取り沙汰されたが、いずれの可能性も消滅していた。

ここ最近ではかつて活躍したセリエAのスペツィアとヴェネツィア行きの可能性が浮上していたが、どうやら後者への移籍が迫っているようだ。

これまでAZやサンプドリア、モナコを渡り歩き、ユナイテッドでは長らくバックアッパーに甘んじたロメロだが、アルゼンチン代表では通算96キャップに、3度のワールドカップ(W杯)出場を誇る実力派だ。

交渉が成立すれば、6年ぶりの復帰となるイタリアの地でキャリア再生を図る。

パレルモの名物会長として知られたザンパリーニ氏が逝去…ディバラが哀悼の意
