モンペリエは27日、クリスタル・パレスを退団していた元フランス代表DFママドゥ・サコー(31)の獲得を発表した。契約期間は2024年6月までの3年間となっている。
フランス代表として29試合の出場歴を持つサコーは、パリ・サンジェルマンでプロデビュー。2013年にリバプールに移籍するも主力には定着できず、2017年冬にクリスタル・パレスに加入した。
そのクリスタル・パレスでは度重なるケガに泣かされ、公式戦75試合の出場に留まり、昨季に至ってはプレミアリーグ4試合の出場に終わっていた。

モンペリエが昨季限りで勇退のガセ氏を新監督に招へい! レジェンドDFイウトンもスタッフ入り
