「結果は重視していない」敗戦のストイコビッチ監督「中心選手がいれば違う結果になっていたかも」

セルビア代表のドラガン・ストイコビッチ監督が、11日に行われた日本代表戦を振り返った。

ノエビアスタジアム神戸で激突した日本とセルビア。日本にとっては欧州の強豪との貴重な実戦だった中、やはり、最近続いた圧勝劇とはならず、思うような攻撃が展開できない停滞した時間が続く。

それでも後半立ち上がりにセットプレーからFW伊東純也がゴールをこじ開けると、その後はデビュー戦となったFWオナイウ阿道のオフサイドで認められなかった幻のゴールもありながら、主導権を掌握。追加点は奪えなかったものの、文字通り相手を完封し、1-0の勝利を収めた。

試合後のストイコビッチ監督は「すぐ帰りたいよ」とジョークを交えつつ、コロナ禍の状況で結果は重要視していないと主張。日本代表の分析も踏まえながら試合を振り返り、得るものはあったと語った。

「今回のメンバーは特に攻撃の選手に若手を連れて来ていましたので、試合開始の時点で結果ではなく内容を見ていました。(ジャマイカ戦含めて)今回の2試合の結果はさほど重視していません」

「日本は今日の試合を支配していました。スピードとテクニックで良い部分が出ていたと思います。負けてしまったので特別なことを言うのは相応しくないと思いますが、改善する部分があるとするなら攻撃全体です。もう少し良い形でチャンスを作ることができれば、今日も3点か4点入っていたと思います」

「我々セルビアが守備的にならざるを得ないと予想し、前半は上手く日本の中盤を抑えることができましたが、後半立ち上がりの失点でゲームの流れは変わりました。日本はより一層主導権を握り、我々はそれに対応することに精一杯で、良いプレーがあまりできませんでした」

「それでも収穫を挙げるとすれば、若手の選手がデビューしたことです。監督としては良かったと思います。しかし、中心選手が来日していれば、おそらく違う結果になっていたでしょう」

1995年シーズンも開幕当初は退場を繰り返したストイコビッチだったが、徐々に本領を発揮。かつての輝きを取り戻すと、リーグ戦で15ゴールを記録。また、天皇杯ではサンフレッチェ広島との決勝で勝利し、チームにタイトルをもたらした。ヴェンゲル監督の戦術とストイコビッチにけん引されたチームはついに花開き、ストイコビッチはこのシーズンのJリーグMVPを受賞している。後にアーセナルの指揮官になるため、1996年9月に名古屋を離れたヴェンゲル監督だったが、その際にストイコビッチを連れて行くつもりだったと後に明かしている。しかし、ストイコビッチは名古屋との契約を延長。「家族」への想いもあり、名古屋へ留まることを決意する。 ユーゴスラビア代表でもキャプテンを務め、名古屋グランパスでもキャプテンを務めていたストイコビッチ。彼の人生は予想だにしない苦境の連続だった。前述のマルセイユの八百長問題の前には、ユーゴスラビアが内戦の制裁を受けて1992年のユーロ出場権を剥奪。また、クロアチアがユーゴスラビアからの分離独立を宣言したことにより、ズボニミール・ボバンやダボル・シュケル、ロベルト・ヤルニらユーゴスラビアの主力選手がクロアチア国籍を選択し、チームを去っていった。さらに、1999年にはNATO(北大西洋条約機構)によるユーゴスラビアへの空爆が開始。母国の政治問題にも翻弄されたサッカー人生だったが、ストイコビッチには“イナット”があった。 “イナット”とは、セルビア語で「意地」を意味するもの。追い込まれた状態を、一気にプラスに転換させるものであり、日本で言うところの「火事場の馬鹿力」だろうか。ストイコビッチは、この“イナット”でキャリアを積んできたと言ってもいい。そのメンタリティは、名古屋でも影響を及ぼしている。Jリーグオリジナル10でありながら、優勝争いにすら加われていなかった名古屋だが、その闘志と“イナット”でストイコビッチはチームを牽引。ヴェンゲル監督の影響もあったが、チームは上位を争うチームに変貌を遂げた。名古屋は、シーズン中に浮き沈みが激しいチームだったが、ここぞの場面でのストイコビッチのゴールがチームを救った。そして、諦めないメンタリティがチームメイトにも根付いていった。ストイコビッチは、イエローカード、レッドカードを受ける回数が多かったのも、何もラフプレーが多かったわけではない。殆どが曖昧な判定への不服であり、抗議でカードを貰うことが少なくなかった。プレー期間が長くない外国人選手だが、ストイコビッチは通算イエローカード数も外国人選手最多の72枚。レッドカードに至っては、Jリーグ最多の13枚だ。しかし、これは“イナット”の裏返しとも言える。まだまだヨーロッパに比べてレベル差があった当時のJリーグでは、審判の能力も当然のことながら低かった。ストイコビッチは、自分が異を唱えることで、Jリーグのレベルと同時に、審判のレベルをも向上させていたのだ。もちろん、自身が出場停止になることでチームの成績が落ちることもあったが、それすらもチームメイトを成長させた。華麗なテクニック、ゲームをコントロールする能力がありながら、メンタル面からもチームを鍛え直す、真の意味での“闘将”でもあったのだ。 名古屋で現役を退いたストイコビッチは、その後母国のサッカー協会会長や古巣であるツルヴェナ・ズヴェズダの会長を歴任した。そして2008年、再び名古屋へと復帰。監督としてチームに戻ると、再び名古屋躍進の原動力となる。就任1年目から、チームを優勝争いに押し上げると、2010年には名古屋にとって初となるJ1優勝を達成。間の2009年には、横浜F・マリノスのGK榎本哲也が蹴り出したボールを、革靴ながらダイレクトで蹴り返すと、ボールは見事にワンバウンドでゴールに吸い込まれた。(すぐに退席処分となったが、このシーンは世界中で話題となった) 「神様助けて」“ピクシー”率いるセルビア代表のW杯ユニフォームにファンが怒り「モンテネグロに訴えられる」

“ピクシー”の愛称で親しまれ、日本でも人気を誇るドラガン・ストイコビッチ監督率いるセルビア代表のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)ユニフォームが発表されている。かつてはユーゴスラビア代表やセルビア・モンテネグロ代表としてW杯に出場していたセルビア。2010年の南アフリカ大会からセルビア代表として予選に臨み、2大会連続3度目の出場権を獲得した。チームを率いるのは、名古屋グランパスで選手、監督として活躍し、日本にもファンが多いストイコビッチ監督。同国の英雄がチームを率い、躍進を目指している。予選ではグループAを首位通過。ポルトガル代表を上回り、無敗で出場権を獲得するなど実力をつけている。そのセルビアのホームユニフォームは、赤をベースとしたものとなっており、胸元と袖口がゴールドに。また、プーマのロゴもゴールドになっている。さらにアウェイはプーマのテンプレートを採用し、白がベースとなっており、うっすらと所々に十字の模様が入っている。中央にはゴールドで背番号が配置され、プーマのロゴ、協会のエンブレムとともに並んでいる。かつてアウェイは紺色を使用していたが、今回はそれはなし。ただ、ファンもその点が気になるようで「赤、青、白を取り戻せ」という声も。さらに「モンテネグロじゃないか」、「ポーランドの兄弟か?」、「モンテネグロに訴えられる」と、セルビアらしさが感じられないことに腹を立てている声が多く見られる。また、アウェイには「からかってる?」、「デザインしたのは誰だ」、「とてもひどい」、「神様助けてください」と、こちらも不評のようだ。 <span class="paragraph-title">【写真】セルビアらしさが無くなった? ストイコビッチ監督が契約延長! 2026年までセルビア代表を指揮…セルビアになってから初のユーロ出場を控える

「ずっと仲良しでいいですね」「最高すぎる」堂安律もダブルピース! ハワイを共に楽しんだ相手は10年来の仲間「素敵です」
