2016年夏にエバートンから加わり、今季で5季目のストーンズ。初年度こそレギュラーとしてプレーしたが、移籍2年目からは度重なるケガの影響でパフォーマンスとともに序列も下げ、昨季もプレミアリーグ16試合の出場にとどまった。
今季はDFルベン・ジアスやDFナタン・アケも新たに加わり、さらなる苦境も見込まれたが、徐々に序列が向上。ルベン・ジアスが絶対軸を担うセンターバックの一角として、ここまで公式戦30試合に出場して5得点の活躍を披露している。
そのストーンズは2022年に契約切れの上、これまでの低調さから移籍もにわかに囁かれたが、イギリス『デイリー・メール』によると、ジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督も賛辞の言葉を送る今季の活躍ぶりで、新契約を勝ち獲りそうだ。

アグエロがシティの歴史に名を刻んだ瞬間、プレミア初優勝を決めた93:20の熱狂
