アケは1日に行われたFAカップ5回戦プリマス戦に先発するも前半のみの出場となっていた。
手術を終えたアケは｢今季は本当にフラストレーションの溜まるシーズンになっていた。何カ月も悩まされていた足の骨折の手術が無事に終わった。今は将来を前向きに捉えている。休んで回復し、またシチズンの皆とすぐに会おう。応援ありがとう｣
今回の足の骨折の他、ハムストリングなど度重なる負傷に見舞われたアケは今季公式戦18試合の出場に留まっていた。

アヤックス、シティの逸材WGボルジェスを獲得! 総額29億円
