ノルウェー代表に続いて、ドイツ代表の選手たちもカタールでの人権問題に抗議した。ドイツ代表は25日に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループJ第1節でアイスランド代表と対戦。その試合前の整列の際、スターティングメンバーの11人が「HUMANRIDHTS(人権)」が1文字ずつ書かれた黒いTシャツを着用していた。

これは2月、イギリス『ガーディアン』の調査によって、W杯開催が決まってからカタールで6,500人の移民労働者が死亡し、スタジアムの建設に直接関係する労働者の37人が死亡したことが明らかになったことを受けたもの。24日には、ノルウェー代表の選手たちも整列の際に「ピッチ内外での人権」と胸に書かれたTシャツを着用し、人権問題についての懸念を表明していた。
ドイツ代表はアイスランド戦に3-0で勝利したが、先制ゴールを決めたMFレオン・ゴレツカは試合後に試合前の行動について説明した。

「W杯が近づき、それについて話し合いがあるだろう。僕たちがそれを無視してはいないということを示したかった」
「僕たちは自分で行動に移した。僕たちは広い影響力を持っている。それを使って自分たちの価値観を示したい、それは明白だった」

また、ドイツ代表のヨアヒム・レーブ監督もチームの行動を支持している。

「それは、私たちがどこにいても、世界のすべての人権を、私たちが大切にしている価値観のために支持していることの表れだった」

ヨーロッパ王者としてクラブ・ワールドカップに臨むバイエルンだが、大会参加前に試練が待っていた。 2020年に行われる予定だったクラブ・ワールドカップだったが、新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)の感染拡大により世界中のサッカースケジュールが大幅に変更になったことを受け、今月4日にカタールで開幕した。 当初出場予定だったオセアニア王者のオークランド・シティが検疫の問題もあり出場辞退。そのため、1回戦がなくなっていた。 バイエルンは2回戦で開催国王者のアル・ドゥハイルに勝利したアフリカ王者のアル・アハリと8日の準決勝で対戦することになるが、その前に大きな試練が待ち受けていた。 5日にブンデスリーガブンデスリーガ第20節でヘルタ・ベルリンと対戦したバイエルン。0-1で勝利を収め、そのままカタール入りすることを計画していた。 バイエルン一行は、ベルリン・ブランデンブルク国際空港からカタールへと飛び立つ予定だったが、深夜から5時までの間の夜間飛行が禁止されているため、試合を30分前倒しで実施。万全の計画を立てていた。 しかし、バイエルンの一行を乗せた飛行機が離陸したのは6時52分。当初の計画から7時間半も遅れての出発となっていたのだ。 ドイツ『ビルト』によると、バイエルンの一行は22時45分に空港に到着。23時15分に離陸し、6時間半のフライトでドーハに到着する予定だった。 しかし、この日は雪が降っており、飛行機は20分に渡って除氷されることに。23時59分の時点で離陸の準備はできていたが、実際に飛行機は飛び立たなかったとのこど。30秒間に合わなかったとされている。 バイエルンのカール=ハインツ・ルンメニゲCEOは「ブランデンブルクの政治責任のある当局に完全に騙されていると感じている。責任者は自分たちがチームに何をしたのか理解していない」と怒りのコメントを残している。 空港のスポークスマンは「航空機は滑走路で23時59分に離陸する準備ができていました。ただ、始動する許可を受けていませんでした」とコメント。離陸は可能だったが、許可が下りていなかったと説明した。 思わぬ敵に阻まれてしまったバイエルン。プランが崩れた中で、どう調整していくのかが気になるところだ。 なお、今回のカタール遠征にはドイツ代表MFレオン・ゴレツカと元スペイン代表MFハビ・マルティネスが不参加。両者は新型コロナウイルスの検査で陽性判定を受けたためにチームから外れたとのことだ。 2021.02.06 19:35 Sat

29歳で引退した元W杯王者の転身が話題!ほぼ裸で雪山に登頂、自分の人生を見直すきっかけに

クロースが新スパイクを試し履き 自国開催のユーロに向けてか
